im a south african, half afrikaans. thing is its a mix of dutch, zulu, english, german and french. but mostly dutch. hence a horrible term for an afrikaaner is "dutch man". in SA the afrikaaners love brandy and coke, and tend to get aggressive when drunk, hence the slang for brandy is "karate water", and naturally the effect it has is it gives u "DUTCH COURAGE" to fight, pick up girls and generally go wild.
