Nice video but there is always a but! Wealth in our economic system is only meant for the few...and we need to think of a world with 9 billion people....imagine 9 billion people and all their aspirations trying to live on ever diminishing resources. Education is essential but educated capitalists will eventually lead humanity to ruin.
...not only make sacrifices for your presented problem, but whether humans want to do that (sacrifice something) for any international issues. Most might be too comfortable with their own lives built on the back of childwork for our clothes, or the environment, or...
Good work but he's speak from reading something that's already being written. Carefully edited so it fit sound warm and care. Speak from your heart not from a piece of written paper.
Careless comment. Who said i wasn't speaking from the heart? The written piece of paper did not fall from the sky. I wrote it! Also, there was no editing done.
This is a ridiculous request. He is reading what he wrote, so they ARE his feelings. What is all this from the heart nonsense? Even the best speakers memorize speeches, is it not from the heart then? We don't all have time memorize speeches - especially if they're not being delivered live, what's the point. I think your delivery was great Shadab.
What a great video!! I hope many do listen to this - as those that do learn at these great institutions from poor backgrounds can cause a ripple effect by giving back to their communities. Keep fighting the fight! As said below knowledge is power! All the best for the remainder of your studies, and good luck!
YES! I understand your passion and my heart beats with you. But I do wonder if just our educational institutions suffice and promote this untapped potential?
In my Davos video, I address that knowledge=power=great responsibility. Youtubers, I invite you.
let's hope your words don't fall on deaf ears.....the message is strong and direct.....hope you reach your goals.....its really awesome to see bangladeshis standing up.....most of us are so busy trying to be successful that we forget about those less fortunate than us.....very refreshing video
Want to end poverty in the world, permanently? This is a good first step. "Teach a child to fish", and take advantage of the current infrastructure to make it affordable for the universities who can make it happen. :)
1Shadab, very well said and presented. And a Question I would myself ask the leader at Davos. What I ask you is this: Have seen what you have seen at your university do you still think that someone get "good education" there? Or is it just another way to justify better living for the a limited few.
However the suggestion to support a few poor students at these universities is a good one and its not like there is no money. Atleast $600 billion in American Educational Institutions alone.
Education really is the solution to poverty. I think your comment about potentially brilliant minds just being kept from progressing because of their financial situations was fascinating. It's clear that you are making the most of your opportunity at Boston. I hope your message resonates.
I agree the key is in education I believe that it will provide the best solution to all the worlds problems and keeping the awareness of the world in mind always.
I think that microfinance, in relation with investments and migrants, can synergise all energies of the partecipants! With small steps, new ideas (new education) can be passed using the internet to and from the rest! Only flow of communication with the west and within our own communities we can make the diference! Remeber the World GDP is $66,000!
It is very important to push for change as opposed to sitting idly.Great job! As John Stewart Mill so pointedly wrote "a person may cause evil to others not only by his actions but by his inaction, and in either case he is justly accountable to them for the injury."
That's an interesting video, I liked it a lot. You're very articulate. My favorite sentence is the following one you made: "And I have no doubt that a world of superior intellectual capacity, lies within the one billion poor children - one of every two, world wide"

The music from "Forrest Gump" is great and adds a nice touch. And I like your framing of the image; Martin Luther King's watching you.

Then proof me wrong and do another one without reading from paper. Just say it from the heart at that very moment.
Sometime we're so carefull of what we're going to say and not pay enough attention to what the heart wanted to say.
I'm not saying it is bad, actually it is great but I'm wondering if is trully what your heart really wanted to say at that moment.
