Thanks, now ive installed Ubuntu and works pretty good with all other systems, just like you said. Now left to find drivers and updates and all will work as suppose. If i'll have any trouble i'll ask you (hope its ok).

Can you help me? I have drivers for video and sound card, and all programs but when i try to play video or mp3 it says some codec missing and when i press search it finds nothing. Can you tell where to get this codecs?

P.S. When i try to play .flac instead of .mp3 all works properly.

nvidia or ATI ,ubuntu will tell you to download driver it's easy

restart.

2) install cairo dock from ubuntu software center (search)

3) install compizcofig from ubuntu software center

4) open compiz and choose as you like

yeah i have filled up all 4 gigs of my ram before trying to process millions of tiny circles i made i was going to put them all in a volcano shaped thing because one time i did it just right and they shot out of the top with enough speed to pass right through solid objects lol

i was using win7 then tried linux mint 7 then 8 and then tried ubuntu 9.10 it is the best and the fastest! a dvd that wouldn't play in win7 played in ubuntu 9.10 and automatically searched downloaded and installed plugins ! and they sent me a free cd! free! why even consider windows????!!! ubuntu/linux is free and better!

I love 9.10 because it's less of a resource hog than xp. on xp my computer at idol runs at about 5-10% cpu and 48-51 degrees idling on ubuntu 0-3% cpu and 37-39 degrees. running the same scenes in phun windows maxes out at 100% cpu and 63 degrees ubuntu only hit 86% and didn't break 54 degrees.

lol i used virtualbox in ubuntu to run xp with only 1.5 gb of ram and an Amd Athlon xp 2600+ single core at 2.00Ghz (old) and ran xp with no slowing down on ether the host OS or the guest OS

I started running Ubuntu 9.04, worked great, now I downloaded 9.10 and It's FANTASTIC !.

Not IF, but WHEN this operating system catches on watch out MS. I give it a year and WOW. I heard that Google may get involved in it, not sure.

I love the Mac-Like app you have. I am still running the standard app for my desktop.

Does that mean if you remove something from the dock at the bottom of the screen, you can no longer launch it from the gnome (equivalent to the Windows Start) menu?
