@coolrunnings1021 He does have this odd a-sexual boyscout thing going. Or maybe its just annoying to know that a geeky dude can survive the hell out of you. I like the show tho.
Ray Mears is coming to Ontario Canada in June 2012 to teach a Bushcraft course. As far as we are aware, this is his first time teaching in North America. There are only 25 spots available. If you are interested contact us for details!
@bleedingxhearts2 I wouldn't suggest it. Once I was backpacking on an island in Lake Superior and like a dumbass decided I would sleep out in my hammock with just a wool blanket. I tied a hankerchief around my face to keep it covered but my breath would condense and the moisture just sucked the heat away from my face. The only thing worse than cold is cold and wet. It was one of my most miserable nights out to date.
WTH???? He even has a sleeping bag???!!! omg , this is just a camping show! Why didn't he just bring a tent also?? I just wasted my time thinking he was actually gonna teach arctic survival.
Yeh, but if this is a survival video, then it's supposed to be about getting warm without camping equipment!! If you have camping gear with you then it's called camping, not survival. Pretty simple isn't it?
@usabaseball8 you don't have to be ripped or slim to be really fit. Ray is built like a bear... on some of his other vids you see him doing really heavy work (I also hear he's won wrestling matches, lol.) A little layer of fat is just the thing when you are surviving... something to burn ;-P
if i was going out in the arctic, i wouldnt be wearing white clothing lol, id wear bright illuminous colours so am easier to be spotted, why's ray wearing white clothing in the arctic? dont get me wrong i think the guy is amazing i love all the videos
@MrSweatyZombie I think hes pretty cool dissing all the colorful gore-tex jackets everyone have...Maybe it´s because he don´t want to advertise specific clothing companys and therefore choose to wear a pretty neutral jacket, i don´t know...Don´t know what the material it is but I will gess that it is cotton...There are simply no need for heavy gore tex clothes in the coldest season...Cotton clothes breath easier and letting the moisture out...
Någon som blev impad av hur lågt viggenpiloten flög? Såg ut att vara långt under 50 meter ovanför marken. English, impressed by the swedish viggenpilot skills of flying close to the ground, in this case, > 50 meter i guess...
We are commenting about the air plane that flow over them, kinda weird to use an interceptor as a resuce plan, even if it only needs 500 m of road way. But I guess speed is of the essence then. Oh and very good use of swedish
@mangaaahh It's possibly also important that all pilots get some experience of Search an Rescue. If a plane went down i'd imagine they'd send in whatever was in the air and that might include an interceptor. Just guessing.
Bear Grylls FTW!!

Sant att flygning är imponerande faktiskt och Viggen är mycket elegant också.
True, that flight is impressive indeed and Viggen is very stylish too.

Den här showen gick någonstans runt 1999 och 2002. Så Viggen gick ur tjänst 2005 så det de var ett bra tag sen :)
