As a Roman Catholic, I Truly Believe that Jesus was very FUNNY while here on earth. After all, Jews are the best comedians. I don't know who took all of His funny lines out of the New Testament BUT but I'd wager it was some dour Lutheran in the1700's. The Bible is a LIVING revelation, that speaks through time and to present time. Its truth speaks to your heart and soul right at the moment you need it. (For example, the sun cannot have stood still in the sky so Joshua could slaughter his enemies though there may have been an element of truth in the story which got distorted as it was passed down the generations). Mark and Luke were "not" one of the 12 Disciples of Christ per Matthew Chapter 10, Verses 1-6, Mark Chapter 3, Verses 14-19 and Luke Chapter 6, Verses 13 - 16. Mark and Luke were colleagues of Paul see Mark a fellow prisoner ref. Colossians Ch. 4 V. 10 and Luke ref. Colossians Ch. 4 V. 14. Paul the false prophet wrote 14 Books of the New Testament, not Christ, not his Disciples. The NT is a book of part truths and lies compiled by Ancient Rome.
Luke was not an apostle, but was a follower of Jesus. Mark was likely a close associate with Peter. Regardless, the Gospel of Mark meshes with the other three. Paul was an apostle after the fact who had an encounter with the risen Jesus. It's quite a leap to declare Paul to be a false prophet and to say the NT was compiled by ancient Rome. There's no internal or external evidence to support your false claims.

If I wrote a letter talking about God and hounders of years later people still read it, should it be called Gods word just because I said I was a follower of God? The English world has God's Word available in hundreds of translations offered on different media.
There are still about three thousand languages that do not have even one verse from the Bible. See my video; it shows the needs as far as the Bible translation is concerned.
I think this is a wonderful way to keep the Word of God at hand. I listen to it at night, and during my quiet time during the day sometimes. I wish they would have left the singing out, or used the old time praise and worship songs. I didn't like the music at all.

Its simple to determine if a text is a fake or not. Just compare it to all the previous and later versions. If doesn't match, its a fake. Specifically, you don't claim that the bible texts of today differ in a meaningful way from their previous texts. And rightly so, because there is no evidence to support such a claim. To be precise, the bible is arguably the most historically accurate record known to mankind. This is not my opinion, it is the general consensus of many smart dudes.

I agree that the Bible is valuable as a historical document. It is fairly through not totally reliable. (For example, the sun cannot have stood still in the sky so Joshua could slaughter his enemies though there may have been an element of truth in the story which got distorted as it was passed down the generations). Further the actual historical events are interpreted within the context of a culturally-specific mythological belief system, as is universally the case.

I can write a story. If it is fiction, it won't take long before someone proves this. Same with "Misquoting Jesus". Has it been "peer-reviewed" so to speak like the bible has been? New Testament Facts:
Mark and Luke were "not" one of the 12 Disciples of Christ per Matthew Chapter 10, Verses 1-6, Mark Chapter 3, Verses 14-19 and Luke Chapter 6, Verses 13 - 16. Mark and Luke were colleagues of Paul see Mark a fellow prisoner ref. Colossians Ch. 4 V. 10 and Luke ref. Colossians Ch. 4 V. 14. Paul the false prophet wrote 14 Books of the New Testament, not Christ, not his Disciples. The NT is a book of part truths and lies compiled by Ancient Rome.

Luke was not an apostle, but was a follower of Jesus. Mark was likely a close associate with Peter. Regardless, the Gospel of Mark meshes with the other three. Paul was an apostle after the fact who had an encounter with the risen Jesus. It's quite a leap to declare Paul to be a false prophet and to say the NT was compiled by ancient Rome. There's no internal or external evidence to support your false claims.

WHY do you believe the Bible is the inspired word of God? What evidence is there for it? You can't count evidence from the Bible itself. That would be like me holding up some book in my hand...oh, I dont know, Messages from the Planet Mungo or something, and saying it's the word of true aliens on account of it saying in the book, 'this is the word of aliens'. Not that it says much in the Bible about being inspired by God. There's that bit by Paul, but that's not God himself saying it.

If I wrote a letter talking about God and hounders of years later people still read it, should it be called Gods word just because I said I was a follower of God? I think this is a wonderful way to keep the Word of God at hand. I listen to it at night, and during my quiet time during the day sometimes. I wish they would have left the singing out, or used the old time praise and worship songs. I didn't like the music at all.

As far as verses from 1 Cor 14:34-35 are concerned, find a good commentary on the specific cultural context of the addressees of this particular command, it will help you to understand its meaning.
As for Proverbs I do not thing they encourage child abuse; they prevent 'parents abuse' :-) and later 'society abuse'.
People who commit crimes abuse society. However later, when they are caught and are to be punished, they demand they human rights.

Sorry for the double comment, but:
I'm not Christian (I'm Pagan actually) and abhore the idea of following a holy book (PERSONALLY - I'm not saying it's wrong :)), but I think this is a wonderful and beautiful project. I certainly intend to get it - I might not follow that God, but I believe he exists just like my Gods, and I believe the underlying morals of the Bible are valid to many paths.

Great to see the expressed beliefs of so many. It still blow my mind that there are those who do not believe in God. My proof to you unbelievers: If you think you just happened to have awaken yourselves, take an alarm clock to the morgue and set it for 6am and see how many of the people in there with toe tags arises to turn if off.

I believe in the bible in the sense that i can see it, touch it, and read from it, but i dont believe the bullshit stories that are writen in it. 2 prove that heaven exist first u need 2 prove that god exists, and then u need 2 prove that the bible really is the word of god, now the odds arent looking very good 4 u.

All though I am not one for backing a holy book, there is more evidence FOR deity than their is against. Several scientists theorise that there is a significant energy presence that makes up the majority of the universe, and some theorise it could be a sentient mass on some level. Others suggest deity exists in a dimension we simply cannot percieve.

Love is God and God is love. These folks are doing their jobs as Christians. They are Gods vessels. Can one imagine the concept, the idea of the God with in? The metaphors of the bible? Imagine. Oh, what a good battle to be fighting. Well done cast & crew! Well done! PS I was also going to get the audio bible to compliment my electronical one but it needed more seasoning to be frank. He was sure enough listening. ^_^
