@dynamoman10 Trunks = Dead gohan. Gohan = Not wanting to be a coward anymore. It seems Super Saiyan 1 is achieved by state of mind, not by power level. SSJ2 must be different because Goku and Vegeta and Trunks had to train hard in the time chamber. Basicly "ascended." Gohan reached ssj2 when he got angry and awoke his hidden power. Goku reached SSJ3 in otherworld, where it doesn't stress him as much. Reaching ssj is very different from ssj2 or ssj3

I don't know but it must be different. Trunks and Goten where able to go Super Saiyan at a young age because both their fathers where already super saiyans when they where concieved. Do you really think Goten was as strong as Goku when he fought Frieza? SSj2 and SSJ3 must be different. And again, watch the 'legend of trunks' movie. Hes a weak kid who tranforms after Gohan dies. Each saiyan has their own reasons for turning SSJ. Goku = krillin + protecting the earth. Vegeta = his pride.

@dynamoman10 DBZ shows that power level has nothing to do with being a Super Saiyan later in the series. (Even though i wish it did). In future trunk's timeline, Gohan dies and he is so angry that he transforms. But before that he was just a weakling. Look up "trunks sees gohan dead."

Bardock wasn't as angry as Goku was when Frieza killed Krillin. If Bardock was that mad, he might have turned into a super saiyan.

I find it curious what he said about, basically, regretting the killing they (the Saiyans) did. I guess while they love to fight, they only kill when necessary (having your planet by the balls is a good reason).
