@bob701z Jesus on several occasions, mentioned that there are His Sheep and then there are all others. If Jesus died for all people who ever lived then all people would be saved, but they aren't. So according to your understanding, Jesus died for the mere opportunity for people to believe and thus save themselves. Because when you get down to it, Arminians believe that our "free will" is what determines salvation, in cooperation with Christ. Calvinists say it is ALL God's work, all mercy.

@NewDirection4us I don't understand why ppl assume that just because Jesus/God knows everything then that means we do not have free will and choice Yes God knows what choices we will make he knows how men will destroy the earth and who will accept his Gift and who will not this DOES NOT mean that he makes us make these choices and God did die for ALL so that when judgement will be held he will tell the lost I gave you a choice. A loving parent would not control their child like robots

1st. Calvinists do not believe God elects someone to be damned. They already are.

2nd. Calvinists see hyper-calvinism as heresy.
