Does what McCain just said make the world any safer or does it just make you more likely to vote for him? Is he the shepherd driving us, his sheep, nobly and selflessly towards a better future. Or is he trying to appeal to as many people as possible so that he can become president and do whatever.

I see politicians talking about the environment without any real connection to reality. "The overwhelming evidence" that McCain spoke of really states that if everyone were to stop driving altogether this day. Santa Claus will still be homeless by mid-century. The map of the world will be changed in my lifetime. Sorry for the realism. The situation is already critical and most of us are too numbed by everyday existence to realize it.

My number 1 prority this election is the environment. I am a long time republican/conservative. I am also a navy/desert storm vet, but I also care about the environment and it should not be a liberal or party issue.. we as earthlings should take care of the earth!

The Environment is one of the biggest issues today. We need to reduce emmissions. Not just talk, but action. We also need to protect wetlands, forests, and animal reservations.
