In Shenmue 1 they were actually very good most of the time but in Shenmue 2 the voice actors did not even try to sound realistic.

Still wish it was possible to play Shenmue in Japanese with subtitles.

@strykah92 In my Shenmue 1 i only noticed some that some random characters you can talk to in the city sounded bad.

All the mai9n characters got good voice acting.

In Shenmue 2 on the Xbox many of the main characters got really bad voice acting.

The guy that does Ryos voice in Shenmue 2 did not seem to put even close as much effort into it as in Shenmue 1.

This "bad" ending ties up a hell of a lot more loose ends than the "good" ending. In retrospect i'd almost prefer this to happen. That way we'd at least have had a full story.

What the Chiyou exactly is, we don't know. All we know that the Chiyou-men is a kind of organization, which uses... fairly ruthless business methods. But what is their purpose? Maybe they serve some higher purpose, a god or something? And maybe the Lan-Di is not as evil as he seems? Maybe he was revenging his... i don't remember whom, brother, father or friend who was killed by Iwao Hayazuki?

Btw, he is possibly not taking the magical powers of Shenhua, but of this village or stone...

Shenmue 1 hade great English voices atlest.

It's a bad ending. It happens if you draw out the game until Summer, sometime in June, which is not going to happen unless you let it.

You get a bad ending if you let the game run up to the summer, June 31st I think is the actual date. In Shenmue 1 it's the same, except that the date is in April, the 15th I think.

Slightly better graphics, any slowdown that was in the dreamcast version is gone on the xbox. Extras in the xbox include a camera feature where u can take photos of characters, that help unlock side story comics.

This actually gives away some things not mentioned in the main game. Lan Di seems to teleport to Shenhau at the end, meaning he's a lot more powerful than the main game lets on.
