im from liverpool uk same as john i was 11yrs old when john passed i was watching the news i never knew who john was i know now he's my best musician i go to mendip's his house where he grew up i love going on my own standing in the garden its brilliant
Rest assured that the war worshipping Zionists who had their arch enemy 'peacnik' Lennon (who had just come out of retirement) assassinated also ensured that he would have one last interview - like a condemned man's last cigarette before facing the firing squad.
Paul was hoping he could convince John to be one of the "guest stars" on a track or two of the album he (Paul) was planning to make in 1981 in Montserrat. The album turned out to be Tug Of War, and had tracks with Ringo, Stevie Wonder, Carl Perkins and other well known rock musicians (Michael Jackson's tracks were held over until the follow-up album). George Martin (who produced the album) said he thought it was 50-50 if John would have participated.
Sometimes I wish that Brother John could make his songs just like they were. Like this one here. No fuzz, just simple with his explicit singing. Great Song. Love Song. Peace Song. A Lennon Song. Yeah! Rock Song! Minor third and a diminished fifth. Absolutely marvelous. Thank You John
i hope paul hears this...sees this clip...he would get a kick out of the walrus line...obviously john is referring to paul and something he may have have suggested that john and yoko do...
the firs take on this clip is great..never liked this song till i heard this first demo...it is great because of johns guitar playing...
@ChiroQuacker I`m sure Paul would go on and write a couple of more "silly love songs" Lennon did. "Starting over" is a cool song, and i love it. But it`s strange that John got away with writing stuff like "Starting over" when they hammered Paul for things like "My love" and "Silly love songs"
@jpsmart59 I know that john had written"Nobody told me" for Ringo, and that he was planning to help Ringo on his next solo album, but he wasn`t planning a Beatles reunion. He loved being a solo artist. He made a couple of harsh statements about Paul McCartney just before he died.He said that Paul sabotaged his Beatles songs like "Strawberry fields forever" and "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" John was being petty towards Paul at the end of his life. It`s sad,but that was John in a nutshell
@jpsmart59 Well, John Lennon used pretty much of 1980 to slam Paul McCartney in interview after interview. John hadn`t met Paul for four years when he died. They were hardly on speaking terms. John was talking about making more records with Yoko, and touring as John and Yoko. John was not planning to be a beatle again. and i don`t think George would have wanted to join the beatles again either. He was fed up being sideman to John and Paul, and not getting more than one or two songs pr album.
@SuperGogetem i know that he liked "Coming Up" The studio record of Coming Up is the official record. The live version was the b-side, but the DJ`s played the live version instead of the a-side. That`s why the b-side was the hit record. Anyhow, John said a lot of awful things about Paul in 1980. There was no getting back together again. John wasn`t even on speaking terms with George because of Georges book where he didn`t mention John.
@Yellyist Have you seen the movie Two Of Us?? I think that movie is possible to have happened in real life!!!! and theres stories about Paul coming round the aptrment for Christmas or something in a book about the Dakota, and how John was happy to see him, etc..I think it was fifty fifty most of the time
@chumshot It`s true that John and Paul used to hang together around 1975-76, but that stopped when John refused to to let him in when Paul showed up at Johns door sometime in 1976. They never saw eachother again beofore John was killed four years later, but they spoke on the phone right before John was killed. Paul is getting married today on Johns birthday:) So, congratulations to Paul for getting married to the beautiful Nancy, and happy birthday John. You should have been here today!
@Yellyist Totally! Its just sad tho toward the end, I get that..but at least they didnt stop altogether right after the breakup, that would suck >:( What was the phone conversation about, cos Ive only read a little about that. And wow, I didnt know Paul was getting married!!!!!! Aww..Wow...
@chumshot1 It was all over the news. Pauls bride was very beautiful. How come you didn`t know about it? It was all over CNN and foxnews last night. Paul chose the same place where he wed Linda back in 1969. I guess Paul miss both John and Linda since he decided to get married on Johns birthday and on the same place where he and Linda got married.
@Yellyist WOWOW!!! Gawd...I dont have cable right now, and I dont really pay attention that much to Paul, unfortunately..I dunno why, I respect him, and hell, he's "friends" with me on here xD, but I just wish John was here.
And omg.. ur right, cos Linda's gone too... >:( Why is Paul getting married AGAIN, tho????
best version i ever heard f this song.....far better then the master....i never thought that master take was the one....they didnt nail it....but here..just john..his guitar is great and the beat box works.....

@Yellyist Paul and John were going to write some new songs for Ringo before he got shot to death in 1980.
It was the beginning of a Beatle re-union that was not to be.

@Yellyist I heard John was going to team up with Paul and write some songs together. It might have been
for Ringo Starr instead of a Beatle's re-union. He did want to re-unite in 1974 that he said that. But Anthology
project had he lived would have joined them in it. They did re-unite though with his songs and new instrumentation added to his two songs.

@Yellyist I read they pretty much made up before John's death. Paul spoke to him over the phone
and they were on a friendly basis. Yes, he talked about touring with Yoko but when the tour was to end
; he would reunited with his old band mates. They felt that way about Paul years ago and by then, have
gotten over it. I can't send you the link here as it doesn't allow web site links.
