I met a lot of people who love youtube when I arranged the edinburgh youtube gathering in August and they were all completely lovely. I didn't really know a lot of them before organising it, but one of the closest friendships I ever had started over the internet and I always get surprised at how easy it is to talk to someone IRL when you're used to a screen and a keyboard.
