I love the whole idea of this movie but the dialogue was soooo bad. =( M. Night Shaylaman makes all his actors talk in such an annoying and unrealistic way. If you think about almost all the characters in his movies (Mel Gibson,Joaquin Phoenix - SIgns, Haley Joel, Bruce Willis-Sixth Sense, Mark Wahlberg-the Happening, and everyone else in this movie, the ones in Lady in the Water) - they all ACT the same!!! They never yell or get angry, but instead talk in this overly serious and dramatic way.
I wasn't too fond of the movie, but I do enjoy watching Bryce Dallas Howard as Ivy, who's generally a really likeable character and the soundtrack is fantastic!
her sister home crying over the guy and she is staking her claim! lol! for the period they are supposed to be in she is really asserting herself as a girl-power kind of woman,,in the most endearing way too! bryce and joaquin are brilliance! and adrien was right on point!
loved this movie, but in this scene its hard to believe Ivy is blind because she looks at Lucius when she talk. Because of this scene it took me about 10 minutes further into the movie to tell she was blind, that was when a lot of stuff started to make sense, LOL!!! Don't get me wrong I love this movie, but this scene always bugs me alittle
It's my favorite part...I love when Noah and Ivy run upon the hill..i love Noah x) and Ivy as well :) This movie is way wondrous *-* [yesterday i've seen it thrice]
@carmeenamack I was disappointed when I saw it but I still think it's an interesting movie: the first half was slow and boring. The second half was pure suspense and mystery. In the end, I enjoyed it and did go back to the theater to see it one more time. No way can this beat Shyamalan's Sixth Sense but it comes a close second. I still am debating whether to see his latest movie, Devil.
I love the part when she talks about seeing colors like haze in the darkness. Thaat's really moving at least I think because it shows their connection.
This is another great scene of the movie. Amazing flutes in the backround, complements of James Newton Howard, great Pennsylvania landscape, really captures the innocence of the time period.

This is my favorite Shyamalan film, and actually one of my all-time favorite movies. It makes me sad that it's gotten so much negative feedback.
I love this scene.

Shymalan's movie is a treatise on community, religion, politics, and art. A work of genius we shall not see anytime soon. His best work.
