  • I first viewed this video about three months ago and yes this video is very good to learn how to load the brush. With much practice and patience it is possible to achieve the same as the artist. A very big thank you to Xiaowen for sharing this video..

  • I'm glad this video is useful to lots of art lovers! Thank you for your kind comment!

  • woooooow!!

    amazing artist!!

  • what type of brush and ink is used in this?

Do you have a brand or where i can purchase from?

    Great video.

  • You can buy those type of brush and ink in any Chinese art store. Those are just the common type.

  • beautiful.

  • how is that effect acheived? - where the lightest part of the bamboo is in the middle of the stem? - i always paint it and the lightest part is at the side if you know what i mean...

  • It's all about how much water you add to the ink.

  • Hi, according to the Chinese instructions on this video, he said you wash the brush well first. Soak the brush with water, then just dip the ink on "2 sides" of the brush (don't dip the whole brush into ink).

This way, you should be able to achieve the effect. Watch the very first few seconds very closely and you should see how he did it.

    Hope this helps!

  • thankyouuuuuuuuuu!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this instructional demo with us!

  • Great! Look forward to that! I'm sure you can paint, after some practice! Good luck, my dear friend~!:)

  • Thank You!

Please do not remove this video!

I need to watch that as I'm learning how to paint!

  • Don't worry, I won't remove it! :)
