depends on your major, if you're looking for liberal arts, business, architecture, psychology or biology, go to UO

anything else I'd go with UW or OSU

The only thing I don't like about UO is that they don't have a nursing major. I don't really understand why I would take pre-nursing at UO when I could take nursing anywhere else.

no that was my roommate, GO DUCKS!!!! i am a student at the u of o and i can say that the academics aren't overshadowed completely. the teachers at u of o are really dedicated and a handful of them are truly incredible. i hate nike though and phil knight seems like a douchebag in all the interviews i've seen and when i heard him talk. i think what oregon needs is some great achievers in non-athletic disciplines to get a fuller picture of the school out into the media. Be true to your school!

It's gorgeous. I've been to the University of Oregon twice for Arizona-Oregon basketball games, and just caught a glimpse of it all. It's wonderful - and the athletic facilities are great too.

What type of climate do you like?

- Arizona has much better school year weather (winters)

- Oregon has better summers as they aren't as overwhelmingly hot.

Arizona is more of a party school. Both are great for athletics, and events like that.

It depends on what you want to emphasize most in your decision. What type of program are you looking to get into?

UO is a beautiful place with great academics and more. Recently there have been lots of wonderful improvements to the academics. The Business School has been renovated, a brand new high-tech nanotechnology building has been built, a new building for the Music School, a renovated College of Ed, and more.

Really pretty video...but what is really going on at UO? The answer-Nike is turning the place into a sports marketing center of excellence while the academic mission is completely abandoned. Ever since Frohnmayers salary was augmented by Nike in 1996 it has been headed in the wrong direction. The academics at the UO have never been better. They have one of the best undergrad biz programs, they are pioneering a sustainable biz program (like they pioneered entrepreneurial & sports ed). Its a top journalism, edu & architecture school. They are the only school in the state system that pays for itself. In fact, funds are taken away from UO & distributed to the others. The UO is now expanding their education offering up in PDX.

Knight's (nor Nike's) name isn't behind any of this.
