That is completely absurd. YouTube was very much popular and considered to be a part of the group of larger, "MAIN" sites online far before Google acquired it. Many would say that Google has actually diminished the quality of YouTube rather than improving it. Google had absolutely nothing to do with the success or popularity of YouTube.

I'm a windows/linux user and agree with all the stuff you menttioned about the iphone, and I need to add the lack of copy-paste and some other functionality drawbacks. but nevertheless I love the fact that there is no ppysical keyboard on the device and the screen is super sharp. I've tested many phones and iphone is the only one with a well designed user interface. when was the last time you've heard of sony/nokia/rim make a global impact and change an entire market because of a phone? How is it that I can't read a simple PDF. file. No Office Mobile Apps. available for this "super" I was on the phone for hours with Tec support to find out I can't read any PDF. files at all. Thats crazy.

I cant access the files on my Memory Card either. and there's other things I'm wondering why no one thought of.

iPhone dosen't sucks (totally), it has flaws. If you have been a Nokia & Symbian user then you will miss a lot of applications, their shortcuts and even better technical specifications (both hardware and software).

But iPhone wasn't meant to blow your mind with out of the world technical wizardry... It was suppose to give you a phone that was easy to use (It is, even my grand mother will be able to use it)...

It has maps, email, internet, and plethora of other applications that people can put to use in daily life (even those 1001 apps on flash light)...

I have seen people buy N85 GB and never use it for anything except calls and sms (and occasionally MMS)... They never realise about the many applications that have been developed for this platform... The problem is that there are applications but the website providing them are shabby and suck while providing details the worse is nokia's official website...

the biggest problem with symbian is that after a year of use the damn thing gets soooo slow, to just fucking unlock it I have to wait for 3 seconds... And if you open camera (the wonderful 5 MP camera) the phone hangs for around 15 seconds and you see in front of your eyes the happy moment (that you wanted to capture) fly away and you not even being a part of it as you were trying to operate the piece of shit phone... The symbian needs a makeover...

iPhone isn't great too... No speed dialer, no bluetooth support(for stereo headsets), and the speakers suck (Nokia n85 rocks here.... BOOM.... BOOM)... No goddman themes... No flash support... Many a times your phone will crash (specially after 2.1 upgrade , I really hated it it will go fucking blank for 5 minutes or something), Lots of software bugs, iPhone doesn't has a viewer for office files nor even PDF files (although you can download a app for that- AirSharing)...

While syncing your photo album your iTunes will reduce the size of photos and store in a separate cache for iPhone (Mine is a whooping 1 GB), IT'S A FUCKING WASTE OF SPACE, you cannot edit your music or video files (neither tags nor content) in iPhone but can do in nokia... Ringtones can only be made of songs downloaded from iTunes... Nearly forgot - its camera sucks (forget about redeye I bet it won't even capture your eye in a photo shot at night)

This phone is going to be way better than iPhone. Specially with battery life, keyboard, and open source software development. Basically anybody can develop a software (who has knowledge) to use in this phone. Android operating system is not closed OS like apple.

i have held this phone in my hand and they only thing that I think is better then the iphone is the keyboard. android is a lot slower and choppy the then mac os on the iphone. plus android is going on gsm which i think is incredible stupid.  To have a shot at catching the iphone they would need to go to a CDMA to catch up. That is why I think the HTC touch pro, diamond, and hd will be the closest phone to the iphone 3g.

yes but still it was much cleaner when it first came out then the G1. Android has a long way to go and so does the iphone on software. The iphone will probably have the edge on applications, entertainment, internet. you know the "cool stuff" the g1 will be more attractive to business users and kids who like texting. the g1 right now is not quite where the iphone is, but in the future g1 and apple will be going at it like microsoft and apple are now. g1 brings real competition.
