  • When they hugged...I started to cry.

I ended up loving Silver way more than I thought I ever would.

And yes, I used the word 'love'.

  • "Stay out of trouble you old scallywag."

"Why Jimbo, WHen have i ever done otherwise?! HAHAHAHAHA"

    Gotta love silver XD

  • You know, all the people who love this movie should write to Disney and request they re-release it in 3-D for it's 12th anniversary in 2014 ( I mean it's 10th anniversary has practically been and gone by corporate standards).

  • This is why i listen to music

  • Beat to quarters! Put up the sails! Raise anchor, we're a saillin' the heavens!!!

  • Best hidden-love story evUr.

  • The start of this song gets me every. time.

  • I remember my sisters used to think Jimbo was so hot! WAIT THEY STILL DO! XD hahaha

Also this video was posted on my Birthday!!! Just noticed!!! XD So funny!

  • Tears every time...

  • Three people sucks.

  • I love this film so much **

  • 3 ppl dont have feelings

  • That good old Cyborg... he lost his arm, his eye and his leg.... but he still got his heart. :')

  • @DavidSDoubleU hehe :¨) he sure has

the only part which i liked and remember from Terminator Salvation which was quite similar to your saying is when Sam Worthington says in the end: "What is it that makes us human? It's not something you can programme, you can't put it into a chip. It's the strength of the human heart, that differs us from the machines"

i thought it was beautiful :) and i think ppl have forgotten to listen with their hearts and let it guide them onwards through life.....

  • "Oh! I forget this! For your dear mother, to rebuild that dinerhouse!" That was the last sentence before I started to cry.

  • You nomaly says: I don't want to cry" SCREW THAT!!! I WANT TO CRY TO THIS!!!

  • this track has always been bittersweet.... never fails, always cry at this part of the film.

  • if some won says they don't like this movie because its SyFi show them this music, to me what comes into my head is flying through the clouds through caves ona dragon's back...but thats just me.

  • reminds me of " Any one can cook" from Ratatoullie

  • sniff sniff im getting teary

  • My favorite piece from this movie <3

  • Epic tear fest: "Look at you, Jimbo. Yer glowin' like a solar fire... Yer gonna rattle the stars, you will...!"

  • @sofymo Ah crap, thanks a lot. Now I'm getting all teary.

  • @lalala13nhc Right. I concede to the fact that there's crappy instrumental music. But most of it's good.

  • @lalala13nhc I agree. I mean, there is honestly instrumental music out there for everyone. You like epic stuff/awesome movie themes? There's John Williams & Hans Zimmer? More into soft, flowy, fairy-tale stuff? Alan Menken. Classic old-movie sounds? Oliver Wallace. And there's composers like Michael Giacchino and John Debney who are just jacks-of-all-trades.

  • Ha. I was like ten when I first saw this movie, and I still cried at this part. That was ten years ago, and I still cry when I see it.

  • Why is this movie and its soundtrack so gosh darn amazing???

  • Anyone else see that nice little play on words in the song title?

  • @BlackPhoenix00280 i just did! lol, that's so strange, i bet that even james Howard notice that xD

  • my father left me when i was around jims age and a old sea dog like sliver was my wind behind my sails and after he left this land known as life i still remember him b/c ov this movie i am now 25

  • It absolutely boggles my mind when people say they don't like instrumental music, especially knowing there's beautiful music like this out there.

  • This makes me cry so much especially when I hear the solo flute, wanna say it's either Pan, Ney/Kawala, or Ocarina at 1:27 and the Solo Oboe at 2:19. And then at 230 a little hope comes along, and at 2:39 the sun is finally shinning over the hill, and at 2:52 just over the horizon I see the things I couldn't once before, and oh how I cherish and at 3:15 I'm going home to see all the people in the village. At long last I'm finally home after my triumphant journey.

  • reminds me of Titanic <3

  • This movie inspired me to follow my dreams, take the helm and start my own course...to stick to it no matter the squalls...and when the time comes I'll get the chance to really test the cut of my sails and show the world what I'm made of...I hopw you're all there...catching some of the light comin' off me that day.

  • This song still bring a tear t'me eye, it does...

  • James Newton Howard...pure genius. I have mad respect for him.

  • 3 people are freaking gay

  • @lotrman123 gay doesn't define what kind of music you like.... I don't know what you're implying here.....

  • @lotrman123 you ruined the emotion I felt while reading comments to this. Please never post again. Anywhere. Thank you.

  • Glowin' like a solar fire. :)

  • 1:17 "you know when I first got on this ship I would have taken you up in a second, but I met this old cyborg, and he told me that I can take my own course" "and... what do you see off that bow of yours?" "a future" "ah ha, oh. your something special, Jim. Your gonna rattle th' stars y'are

  • Sheez, from the village, lady in the water, king kong, the water horse, defiance, salt, to this James Newton Howard is a genious! <3

  • this,,,,movie,,really makes me cry...I really felt the sorrow...in this scene...

  • This movie made me cry when i first saw it... brings back memories, it feels like i just watched it for the first time...

  • 1:16: GOOSEBUMPS!

  • 4:26 Gimme a Pint !!

  • This part of the movie always makes me cry... It's so happy and sad at the same time. 3:15 and 3:55 are definitely my favorite parts! :')

  • @Natork012 I Know it's that saying goodbye to someone special sorrow that you get when you watch this seen....like you can kinda feel Jims feelings when he's saying bye to Silver

  • the first 3 min just kill me...the other 2 min bring me to life...life is great :)

    thank you walt disney

  • @Mufasathegodlion Agreed my friend

  • I wish Silver was my father... I never knew mine....

  • 3:37- 3:53 Now that's what I call heroic!

  • BEST. SCORE. EVER.

  • three people have no souls

  • @genisisbeing 3 people just misclicked shees the up button should be on the right side :P

  • @FreeeeS Actually there should be two like buttons for this kinda thing XDD

Then you can choose to press like or...like XD

  • @VerinenRuusu or an Epic button XD

  • i cry every single time i watch this part :(

  • @allerdycegirl Snap

  • 2:49 gives me chills. So beautiful!

James Newton Howard does amazing work on all his soundtracks. Lady in the Water, Dinosaur, The Water Horse, and I Am Legend are a few of my favorites...

  • This soundtrack is so good. I wish Silver was real, he's everyone's dream father-figure. Am I the only one though who would had gone with him?

  • I was looking for wintersun, and this popped up.

    -_-

  • I had a hell of a time trying not to cry infront of my brothers when we watched this scene. Even now I still get teary-eyed, I mean I wish Silver was a real person, and it depresses me that he had to leave (which I think is the only reason there should be a sequel, had it not been that Disney totally sucks at making those)

  • Every. Single. Time.

Whenever I'm interested in a movie soundtrack, it turns out to be James Newton Howard!!! His work is amazing and it keeps finding a way back to me...and I'm alright with that. :)

  • 2:57 those violins are in the stratusphere with it. Absolutely amazing.

0:34 - 1:16 just graceful. And if anybody doubts it they couldn't be more wrong.

  • This music makes me teary and light hearted all at once. <=')

I think no other Disney movie moved me like Treasure Planet did, and I've got to mention the music for its incredible cabability to touch my heart like that.

Thank you Disney for this magical film and Soundtrack. <3

  • This tune is the most uplifting and yet relaxing and in some parts saddening of the soundtrack... I will certainly be listening to this to inspire me when writing a goodbye scene that I must write soon. :) thanks to the uploader for getting the soundtrack in a collection here. If you haven't already, could you maybe put them into a playlist? :)

  • I saw that two people disliked this...wtf? How could you dislike this? Beautiful, harmonious music with an equally amazing scene from the movie. One of Disney's rare and precious movies.

  • this is one of the most beautiful serene themes I have ever heard

it helps me get to sleep at night :) albeit the dreams are pleasant ones

  • i sware this part in the movie gets me everytime!! i always cry, best movie i have evr seen, and mannnyy people have underestimated it, wish disney would do more with it, and mabey a sequel..thats actually good!!

  • @hannahMEcheer

a sequel would ruin it. but yea this movie is seriously one of the BEST and nobody appreciates it like they would

  • @lawvslight i know ,i hate that, every time disney makes a sequel( most of the time), it sucks, if i could i would re make this movie, but not change it, just make it better with all the new technology, that would be awesome!!!

  • @lawvslight most truely great things in this world are underestemated and forgotten. :(

  • @abbyfanduby like the power of prayers and a steady faith in the Grand Master ;)

ppl have forgotten what they came here for, they got busy with this world

    Happy New Year! :D

  • Probably one of my favorite movie moments. It always makes me teary eyed.

  • This song is magical and uplifting, although the scene in the movie is quite sad, it's still a great scene, the quotes that have been mentioned in previous comments just move me for some reason. <3

  • "Look at ya...glowin' like a solar fire!"

    ...

    "Stay outta trouble...you old scallawag."

  • This is so powerful throughout the film, so goosebumpsy!! Love this movie.

  • Hey, can you upload or tell me the name of the song that plays at Jim's first time on the solar surfer? I love it !!

  • @Agusloquillo "12 years later"

  • Treasure Planet is one of Disney's best movies. I luv all the characters and the plot, most of all I love the moral of the movie :3

  • This song makes me feel like I can do anything...

  • We all have sails that will billow one day. And rattle them stars.

  • @Adhamaltair

    nope

  • this song always makes me cry

  • this is one of the disney films that will always make me cry. I hope they make more amazing 2D films like treasure planet. not too babyish but not too mature so no-one understands unless you are over 25. over all this is one of disneys' finest work of art :')

  • this is so beautiful!

  • I think this is one of the best animated movies. Everything about it was so beautiful - the music, the voice talents, the animation, just everything. :0) Thanks for uploading.

  • OMG NO WAY! That makes it even more exciting! Thanks for letting me know!

  • @Patentclient10

  • this reminds me of a very good friend of mine... that drowned in the Rio Grande

  • Sorry dude...nice song btw.. :)

  • I cry, too :(

    Amazing movie

  • this songs makes me cry too. When they say goodbye, i just want it to never end...or to never had happened. but... this is such a beautiful movie, and it worked best for Silver to leave, it stayed better in our hearts :)

  • i was very very sad when the movie ends ! i miss silver , jimbo , doppler , morph ,amelia and more ! :( I want treasure planet 2

  • i do too, but if you haven't noticed, Disney tends to screw up alot of the 2D sequels, so a TP 2 would end in diaster :(

  • Well yeah, but there's always a chance it'll be the next Lion King or Toy Story. At least then we'd be able to judge for ourselves.

  • Best part 2:52 - 3:16 beautiful

  • I am arranging this score for my band. There was no trace of any sheet music.

  • 1:53 - 2:05 - stunning.

  • Silver's speech still makes me cry EVERY time I watch this part!

  • I love happy ends! :D

  • me too-that's what disney's good at ^^ but sometimes you need a bittersweet ending or a sad one to make your heart feel whole if you know what i mean... :D

  • AGREE

  • thank you :)

  • i think his songs are amazing-espeially in peter pan.....he's incredible and does deserve to win an oscar!!!

  • I can't help but love this movie and it music! It's just plain amazing! It takes my breath away.

  • When will James Newton Howard ever win an Oscar!!!? He really deserves one

  • I know!! He's so good at what he does... in my opinion, he's a lot better than John Williams. Much more emotion, and he writes songs that sound completely different. I love his music!

  • Ya John Williams used to be my favorite, but then I found James Newton Howard in Signs and loved him.

  • I love John Williams for his music in Hook, and I love James Newton Howard for the live action Peter Pan and Treasure Planet. There's always a lot of magic in the music for movies involving pirates. Have you ever noticed that? xD

  • I might upload Hook. I love that score; it's very magical indeed. :)

  • @mileyroxfanatic James also wrote the music for The Last Airbender and that music is simply wonderful. This man has so much talent!

  • @mileyroxfanatic don't forget the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack XD

  • no matter how many times i see this movie, i always cry at this part and at the very end ....... but its all good tears

  • I always get chills from this song, but in a good way :]

  • Howard is awesome!!! This song is beautiful, and makes the movie even more inspiring! Simply superb!

"You're something special, Jim. You're going to rattle the stars, you are....."

    That scene is always inspiring.

    Go Treasure Planet!

  • Howard you are a genius!!!

    :)

  • By far my favorite song on the entire album.

  • This piece is absolutely amazing! ^^

  • My favorite piece on this album is all of them :)

  • oh i love this so much i wish i could compose and play folk music.. but i dont really think you can get that on clarinet or piano...

=/ oh well im hoping to start fiddle soon =]

  • I love Irish music!

  • "You're something special, Jim. You're going to rattle the stars, you are..." Sobbbing!

  • "You are"

    It's all good. "Ya're". xD

    Love that scene

  • "You're something special, Jim. You're going to rattle the stars, you are..." <-- my signature quote on IMDB.

This song takes my breath away. When I listen to it, I stop whatever I'm doing, close my eyes, and let the melody sink into me (I get goosebumps every single time).

  • Makes me want to craft something creative and festive...

  • my favorite song :')

  • the music played an amazing role in this movie. I don't think the relationship between Silver and Jim would have been the same without it. Absolutely beautiful music.

  • Couldn't agree more with you. Absolutely.

  • JNH=<3

    This is perfect.

  • haha, this song makes you feel like crying in the beginning and at the end it gets louder and happier.:))))

  • precisely why i love it!♥♥

  • whoa this song is really make your heart melt like water... i feel like i was at a very beautiful place fill with mountain and grass and lake.

  • dreaming is nice :)

  • omg omg i know what you mean! this song is so lovely, the 'Irish-ness' at the beginning makes me feel like i'm in the peaceful mountains too, alone, looking down upon the valley.

then it continues, the song gets more beautiful i feel like crying....

3:16 just LOVE ♥ how the song begins to get more joyful, like a happy ending,, sends chills all over my body. its simply serene.... and joyous.

    XD
