The whole discussion is really off point. It implies we may not need to act now to combat climate change. The overwhelming consensus amoung scientists and scientific organizations is we're in a warming trend and it's due to man. In other words, it's time to act... now.
The overwhelming consensus is from a bunch of scientists who didn't even work in that particular field, until governments started throwing a bunch of money at it. Then scientists from other fields gravitaded towards environmental sciences. The scare tacticts and the propaganda have increased since then. In turn, the money has also increased, and they continue to ride the gravy train. Speaking the truth, for them, means shooting themselves in their financial foot.
Actually a number scientists that are now claiming we are in a global cooling trend. In China over 1 million people frost bit in their coldest winter in 100 years. Snow in Baghdad for the first time in 80 years. In Antarctica, they recorded the highest levels of ice since they've actually started recording. Frankly, some warming helps the growing season and helps food production. I'm more worried if we're in fact in a global cooling trend, as that can seriously affect the world's food supply.

We had warmer weather in the past and the polar bears did just fine population wise. Greenland has parts of soil that are now frozen that shows they were green and farming on that land. So, if polar bears have incrase by a factor in 5 for population, how are they endangered?

You cant make the claim that polor bears are suffering from mans co2. Less ice melted this year then last (so ice is now recovering). Polar bear population is doing extremely well (there is too many in some places and they are fighting over food). In the 1950-60s they estimated the population around 5000, best estimates today are a factor five times more or in the 25,000 range. So they are doing extremely well. And we seen ice melt like this in past history and the polar bears did just fine.

Besides, you can't back up your point with information from the 50s about a subject that is just RECENTLY occurring. in addition, did you SEE me mentioning co2 ANYWHERE? i'm just angry that you're denying that the population of the polar bears TODAY is decreasing.

Global temperatures have been dropping for about 8-10 years now. Co2 during that SAME time has been increasing. If you are socialist and you dont like business and the rich, you want to control and tax them more and take more money away from them. The carbon tax scheme is a dream come true for socialists. the "polar bear problem" came from over hunting of polar bears, not the warming of alaska. in the seventies they became protected so they wouldn't be hunted to extinction. therefore the population has steadily risen since.

Well while are at the game of self-interest here, recall Gore's wealth went from about a million dollars to the range of 80+ million dollars now. And you'll be hard pressed to find any government around the world they can't wait to have co2 taxs on businesses and use this to redistribute the world's wealth. So yes there's a huge dog wagging the tail here, and these governments stand to make billions of dollars in taxation and revenue from these proposed new green tax systems.

To be fair, it really would be stupid if we're talking about going from 3 to 9. There are talking about a population of about 5000 going now to a population of 25,000. Any more increases and these animals will start starving for lack of food. The problem here is stupid liberal governments are telling you that have to save the poor bears when they're doing just fine. The overwhelming consensus is from a bunch of scientists who didn't even work in that particular field, until governments started throwing a bunch of money at it. Then scientists from other fields gravitaded towards environmental sciences. The scare tacticts and the propaganda have increased since then. In turn, the money has also increased, and they continue to ride the gravy train. Speaking the truth, for them, means shooting themselves in their financial foot.

Actually a number scientists that are now claiming we are in a global cooling trend. In China over 1 million people frost bit in their coldest winter in 100 years. Snow in Baghdad for the first time in 80 years. In Antarctica, they recorded the highest levels of ice since they've actually started recording. Frankly, some warming helps the growing season and helps food production. I'm more worried if we're in fact in a global cooling trend, as that can seriously affect the world's food supply.
