Wow I had bought a new Chiappa 1911 .22 that was in that kind of shape NIB!!!!!!! Those Aim Points are amazing, that is what happens when Americans make guns, or Russians.
In a serious way yeah you can try and get it fixed but if not go right a head and just make that little baby go out in a blaze of wonderful destruction
the 45s are scary if you rack a round through the gun youll knowtice a dent in the primer of the 45 casing. Ive heard they will (at very rare occasions) fire when you rack rounds through. Their carbines are great though!
@mrsksforlife. No there not crap they are really good guns with lifetime warranty I recommend everyone should at least fire one before you judge them they are cheap but very reliable
Friend had problem with his hi point not locking back after last round was fired after that it started jamming I cleaned it still has the same problem friend sold it got a glock problem solved
I have the 45ACP Hi-Point. Works just fine...and unless you go beating it like these guys or whatever their warranty will replace it under any circumstances.
I f all a person can afford is a High Point. They should be looking at used gun's. An old Smith and Wesson or Ruger 38 special revolver would be a far better choice and way more reliable than a garbage auto.
ive been thinking about buying one of these guns and your tests have made up my mind..im going to buy a 45 next week..if that gun can take all that abuse and still fire thats enough for me thanks fellas awesome videos!
as far as what your going to do with that gun..id love to see you guys blow it up but at the same time id love to see the look on hi points faces when they open the box for warranty work..i say send it in first see what they say then blow it up!!
I've been tempted to buy a Hi-Point just to see if they were halfway serviceable. So I'm glad to see these tests. A cheap, reliable shooter in your hand will do you a lot more good than the Kimber you're still saving-up for on a bad day.
I'd really like to know what happens if you send it in for warranty work. Certainly couldn't blame Hi-Point if they refused, given the obvious voiding abuses... But it'd say a lot about them if they made good anyway.
a guy about 60 miles away has about 3, and still has them for $329, im from ga but working in bakersfield ca right now, im praying he still has it when i come back next week, a pawnshop in my town had one, and it sayed on the shelf for a whole 3 minutes, thats worth putting on the credit card right there, and one dealer i know had kel tech tell him, "we're a CNC factory, we dont know when your guns will get there", sounds like they need to start some better management
Kel tec has the best gun quality to price ratio in the buisness jmoney!!! Also jack is the fucking man. Please blow that highpoint up and also test a glock I'd love to tune in for that!!
I can say that you guys put that gun through hell and back. Would a Glock be able to handle that kind of punishment? Just asking? Maybe Hi Point has something.
Please, keep going with the videos,im actually a proud hi-point owner.I have a 40 pistol and 995ts carbine and i love em.Yall have proven it takes alot to break these guns, and i would like to see the job finished.
@fatguyaaron i know, but i would, i actually bought a jimenez .25 from my buddy because he needed a few dollars for gas to go to a new jobsite to hire on, he sold it to me for $40, thats about all it is worth too, i have a xd9 and a pps .40 as a back up, looking to replace the pps with something but dont know what i want yet
@jmoney31705 I always told my customers that in the life of the gun you will put thousands of dollars of ammo through it so why not spend an extra hundred or two and get a firearm that will last. Most gun and pawn shops have layaway, spend an extra month or two to pay it off and buy a reliable gun and not a piece of crap. A lot of affordable guns are under $150 bucks, you have to tell me your life is worth more than $150. It's not a sales pitch, it's the God's honest truth.
@fatguyaaron good point bro, its nice to see someone wanting to sell someone a reliable piece instead of just trying to make a few bucks off them, are the hi point carbines any better? i started to buy a .45 carbine a few months ago, but its so heavy compared to my bushmaster AR i would just rather buy a mini 14 or 30 i've been wanting
@jmoney31705 The carbine does seem to be a better firearm. I could see myself owning one someday but for an extra 100 bucks you can get a kel-tec sub 2000 that is a very reliable carbine and uses Glock mags. So you can carry a pistol and a rifle and only have to carry one type of magazine and one caliber ammo.
@fatguyaaron oh yea, i started to buy the 9mm, i will next good check i get, i'm waiting for a PMR 30 to come in so i can buy that and the sub2000, kel tech needs to start expanding because the demand for their products is sky rocketing over the past 2 years and they just cant ship them out fast enough
@jmoney31705 Good luck on that PMR 30 I ordered one for a customer at my last shop a year and a half before I left it, 9 months later it still isn't in. Kel-Tec is awesome, I wish they would realize they need to expand, HI Point out sells them because they produce more than is demanded, but if Kel Tec did the same, they would rule the common man's gun market.
I saw a video where something destroyed completely the magazine reciever and magazine and they sent it back for full warranty and got back a completely restored unit.
Not blowing up the first attempt, what does that say about how long it would last just being shot with the right bullet, long enoghe to kill some zombies
@Duggan00 I already have. But that wasnt a test. He was just blowing up a Glock. We should all chip in a few dollars and have these guys put a Glock through a real torture test.
Cont. I have ran 2000 rounds through this gun personally and no issue. I believe that the newer versions of this gun are junk. but some of the older ones can be decent.
I personally own a hi point. It is not a newer model though. It has the european style mag release. It is .45 acp i bought from my father in law and he has put thousands of rounds through it before I purcahsed it. I have ran everything from reloads to plus P ammo and i have never had a miss fire or failure to eject or feed. I have kept this gun in my car and i live in arizona so it gets hot and fired it and still no issue. Im not advocating this gun but its luck of the draw some can be reliable
I have a hi point and its the worst gun i have ever shot. I am only able to load 5 rounds or less in the mag to even be able to chamber a round. Any more then that and it will not work. Also it jams every like 6 shots. I tried to site it in and it shoots super low and cannot fix the sites. I would never use this for self defense.
Why spend 80 dollars on a piece of crap that will jam up in the worst situation, Your better off saving $150 more dollars and get a old CZ, Makarov, or one of those Sig Sauer p2022's that are proven with reliability, not owners saying they are the best, and the other half saying that they are shit. It's just human ignorance, because people that have the firearm, will say there is nothing better, when in reality, it's a piece of shit. You get what you pay for.
@Z0mb3hHunt3r i guess you didnt watch the two videos where they fuck up that hi-point huh? i used to be like you and think that price=quality. then i learned a few things about firearms
@dammitcrap Yep, I watched them. I have been around and loved firearms for 20 years, so used to be like me? Then you should know that you get what you pay for. Price does play a huge factor in quality. Something that is $80 dollars isn't worth shit. Now for you to learn something. There are plenty of brands of AR-15s that poor people like yourself cannot imagine affording, Examples: Delton, DPMS. They run about $600 dollars, and are junk. Why would someone sell a high quality gun for $80 dollars
@dammitcrap Now for another lesson. Video games doesn't make you an expert on firearms, so you can drop everything you learned from them. It takes money to make a reliably functioning piece of machinery. Hi-point sells them for $80 dollars because they only take about 8 dollars to make. They are to shoot someone with, then throw them away. They aren't for hunting, they aren't for target shooting, You can get a Heritage Rough Rider .22lr revolver for $125 dollars, and they are made out of steel.
@Z0mb3hHunt3r yet proven version complete shit. hell, it doesnt even make them shit at all... just obsolete. my beer refrigerator in my garage is from the 60s, and it is outdated as hell in terms of power and options... but that doesnt make it shit. actually, the knockoff firearms are more dangerous than something made in america and brand new, because at least with hi-point i wont be dropping into the cheap-casted-metal zones. yes, quality is quality, but that doesnt make something that is
@huntwithairguns Who gives a shit about the price. Also, your an annoying dumb bastard, Are you mad that you own cheapass firearms? When did your fruitty ass get into the conversation? $80-$150 dollars, if your spending that weak ass amount of money in pistols, Go back to airsoft pussy ass bitch.
@Z0mb3hHunt3r For the record I do not currently own a Hi Point firearm, but of the ones I've shot and seen shot I've never seen a single malfunction. Yeah the pistols are ugly and inexpensive, but the work and there is no denying that. That magazines sometimes need a little tweaking but that is the only weak point to the reliability of Hi Point firearms. Also I do not own any airsoft shit.
@huntwithairguns I don't blame you for not owning one. My friend has one, and to him, it's the best thing since sliced bread. He's put about 300 rounds through it, sent it in on warranty because the slide is worn is worn out and last time he shot it, it cracked bad under the barrel, and still hasn't gotten it back, after 2 monthes. My opinion is to just save an extra 150-200 bucks and get a knock-off hi-power, used sig, or one of those sig sauer p2022 build your own kinda deals.
@dammitcrap Quality is Quality, to make something with quality it takes quite a bit of money. You can get plenty of knock-off firearms that are reliable. But when you go that low into the price range, you get a dangerous firearm. I've been a Qualified Gunsmith for 4 years, and the basics aren't about price, it's about using good materials and making a reliable firearm, sometimes its cheap, sometimes its not, depending on which type.
@Z0mb3hHunt3r that would imply i actually play video games. and i do own quality firearms. i also enjoy you automatically make vast assumptions about my income level due to my defense of hi-point. but im not here to argue semantics. your argument about a hi-point costing 8$ to make means little.. as a glock costs little over 80... and would you say they are junk? just because there are more expensive-to-produce operational handgun platforms out there does not make a outdated version and ungainly
@Z0mb3hHunt3r intended to be for people who make lesser incomes than you or i to be an affordable way for them to protect themselves or their families, a piece of shit. and please... explain how a from the factory hi-point is dangerous? i have never once read anything about them exploding (something i have read for glocks, m&p's, colt's etc) especially if you feed them nothing but factory because i feel it is safe to say somebody buying a hi-point wont really be into reloading
@dammitcrap Dangerous, If you were to enter a combat situation, you would not have a reliable weapon. Especially if it is used. Why would I feed any of my pistols non-factory ammunition? Hand loaded ammunition from Gun shows are not to be trusted, you don't know who reloaded it or if it is even quality controlled. I do not reload anything but Shotgun shells. It's not that the weapon will explode, it's the weapon will most likely jam or, have a FTF (from most likely a Light primer strike.)
Hello there Gentlemen. I may have voted on this matter before - but let me please cast my vote again - IF I have not already done so. Please go out & blow that gun up - & PLEASE do whatever it will take do BLOW THAT BABY UP. Thank YOu. Sincerely, JAMES.
I want to see you do this to a 1911 and tell me its a piece of junk. I am buy no means a hi point fan. I am not a handgun fan at all matter of fact (I live in IL so I cant have CCW). I use a moss500 for home defense rather than a handgun. Hi points are cheap, but I can tell you a 1911 isnt 10x better even though the price is 10x as much
blow it up, i have a 45 highpoint and this video is making me impressed with it, i went today looking at the high point 9mm carbine, hopefully it is as good
I'm feeling like basspromike,do a glock ,everybody that have hi points will give you the views to see that ,matter of fact show me any other gun that will with stand that damage,I bet if you send it back hi point would replace it...lol
I have a Hi-Poin, I depend on it underneath my belly button, or on my hipt, I do not need to know what blows it up. Just use the right ammo and keep it clean.
I have had some Hi-Points come into my shop because the owner was tired of sending it in for warranty work, and I have heard some people swear by them. I own 2 myself, one is a piece of crap, and one seems indestructible and very accurate with no failures yet. My opinion is that there is some degree of a gamble with these. Might get an awesome gun, might get junk.
@siamvalleygunshop I agree my roomate had one and i told him don't buy it. after a month it broke after only a 150 rounds through it now he wishes he would have waited and bought a sig or glock
All the guys I shoot with and some of the guys I work with trashed my hi point 45,so I holster my weapon ,whip out my iPad2,and showd them your tortured video and after letting them shoot mine with no jams I must add 7out of these 11 friends now own hi point 45 and they all carry pretty expensive carry but they tell me cause of your videos they bought hi points...good work guys
Haha one of those things slide blew off at one of the local ranges last week. Cracked a window. It was 45 though. You all should do the same thing with a 45.
So if theres a problem with the gun you take a hammer and socket to it? Yeah that makes sense, of course theres going to be problems with that. Your trying to use brute force for what reason? There was a problem and you destroyed the gun by using a hammer and dremel, Hi Point shouldn't warranty anything on that gun, what a moron.
so really wtf is your point? you guy's look rather dumb for this video, gun safety chucked out the window, and if youre trying to say hi point is shit maybe you should learn a thing or two to me you just proved they are rather indestructuble! most missfires etc are a mag problem, simple fix to someone with a slight bit of brain.
How in the Hell can you say this gun is junk after you have done all this gun and it is still in one peice, Yea it needs some things changed to make a better gun, but I would call it junk.
@brentm1970@Iraqveteran8888 do you guys recomend the Hi-Point .380 ACP 3.5 Inch Barrel Black Finish? i only have about $170-$190 to spend on a gun is this a recommended pistol for under $200?
yawl are stupid don't know how to start ! did yawl thank about the other people around there ? like i got a m9a1 it miss fires all the time i got a 1911 it wont fire been sent back 4 times and alot of other head guns i got over 22 guns and my high point is the about to best hand gun i got bedsides my pt 92 and my Taurus pt 92 af i paid 600 for and put 400 into it to make it like i wanted it . And if you worked at my gun store i would fired your ass along time ago!
Although they cut corners to make it more affordable, they never forgot that they were selling a gun/weapon/dangerous piece of machinery. This is a well made gun for there price point
these guys are idiots , they are not trained in testing guns. They should not be allowed to be behind the counter of a firearm dealer. They know nothing about gun safety. some kid will be getting hurt after viewing these idiots on youtube.
no wonder it cracked, you beat it with a hammer and a socket. That isn't even considered "extreme" use. That's blatant abuse. I'm surprised at what a beast this thing was.
Go to armslist.com people sell gen3 Glocks all the time for 350.00 that's bout two hi points and u can catch sig 9mm variants for 350-400 there as well.
my c9 was my first handgun. still own it, still love it. cheap, and accurate. would I use it for home defense, hell no, the ramp is too steep, and hollowpoints will jam. I have a ruger p90 .45 auto for that job. yet the hi point is very fun to make beer cans dance at 50 feet with.
you call the high point junk but you have destroyed that thing and it still works and is pretty accurate i have a high point baught it new when they first came out wanted something to carry on a four wheeler something cheep that I would not care to loose well after nearly 20 years I still have it it is still dependable and accurate.I paid $80.00 for it new and I am as impressed with it as I am my $900.00 ruger a piece of junk I dont think so
@brentm1970 BULLSHIT. All 17 of you idiots must have never shot a "$900 Ruger" I'll bet You never even seen a "$900 Ruger". Throw away murder gun. Thats it.
Why have you not tested ALL the 9mm hand guns you have like you did the Hi-point? If you are going to put this gun under the bus or "truck" than pull out your wallet and do this test to all the 9mm you have in inventory. So what I'm saying is PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS!
What on earth have you done to this gun? I am confident that normally HiPt wud give u another gun. But if you ran over it with a steam-roller, burned it with an acetylene torch, & put it thru a steel shredder -- I donno. Looks like you are having fun anyway
@turbofister420 ive heard that many times and im not tryin to change anyones mind, what you or anyone else thinks is their right.we own the 9mm and the 40 cal since fixing the clips we havent had any troubles with either of them.they are heavy which i like,we hit what we aim at.customer service is awesome.LIFETIME guarentee on any parts. And American made which i love.how many companies can say any of that?
I own alot of nice firearms. I have a Smith M&P 40, a Glock 17, a Springfield XD40 Tactical, a Smith Model 10, a Ruger Mk I, a Beretta 92fs, a Citadel 1911, a Egyptian Maadi AK, well i'm not gonna name em all but you get the point. I also own a Hi Point 995TS carbine. And let me tell you, the rifles are the SHIT!!! I love that thing! It is sooo fun to shoot and tough, they're IONS above the pistols.
I bet the slide cracked with the pounding of the socket when you were trying to force that area over the bulge. The pistol looks weird but it apparently stood up to much more than it ever was intended to endure. Very nice test and I believe this should belay anyones fears about that High Point pistol. Great Job.
@sno6986 lol sry dude but highpoints ARE junk..im sure you could shoot somebody with it..and for the price, it is a gun that shoots..but when it boils down to it...they're pretty much the shittiest gun on the market.
Cone on people it's no comparison. The hi points while structurally sound they tend to wear down after thousands of rounds down range n are very difficult to breakdown n clean for novice shooters. Glocks, xd, sig, even smith n wesson are easy to clean u can get an affordable used one usually for less than 2 hipoints and 10,000 rounds later you are still hitting 2inch groups for 10yds. For an under the seat gun or guns strategically placed in different areas of the home hi points are great. But
I bought a "like new" Glock a few days ago for $425, but that is because I live in a state where unregistered private party pistol sales are allowed (no sales tax or dealer mark up).
There are even better deals out there on stuff.
You can get a police trade-in, generally in fine condition, even from a dealer that will start at about $300-$350...depending on if its a Glock, Sig, or Beretta.
Just start calling around to the bigger dealers and asking people to see if anyone has some
So did you guys even try the warranty on it or just assumed it would not be covered .. ? I have been watching you beat this gun and it still work .. Thanks a lot for helping me find a cheap gun that I can toss in my tackle box for whatever reason and have full faith on this gun to fire when I need it to ... Thanks again
I want to see you guys hammer a bolt down the barrel of a glock , wilson combat sith or any other "top of the line" gun to see how they hold up.Maybe you could get sponsership from your listeners or rather watchers to do this ...it would be extremely interesting to see what the "top guns" are capable of so that we know why they cost so fucking much!!!
I love this work you are doing and am a firm believer in the quality of these guns. Carry on please..we need to show the non believers what these HIPOINT weapons are capable of.
exactly there is no comparison, but a used xd is $350 dollars..... i just get annoyed when someone says go buy the biggest piece of crap vehicle for you and your families reliable and safe transportation, when you could literally wait a month and get something way better, wheres the logic in that??? and a gun isnt even as pressing of a matter as a vehicle.. oh or in a pawn shop the other day saw a nice glock 22 for $300, but nah, id rather buy the $150 hi point, which doesnt compare like u said.
it seems you guys are contradicting yourselfs...you put it through stress tests to try and destroy the gun...and it seems to me that for normal use it would be the best...so why don't you recomend it?
I uderstand some ppl dont have the budget to buy a more expensive gun but damn, why not just save up and get something decent. Not a hatin on hi points, just sayin
@Lavrentizodiac LMAO you have never held a Hi point have you that shit is heavy as hell from all the metal that sucker has the newer generation is lighter because it has a poly frame but the old one had an aluminum frame with a cast slide. i have both they are just a bitch to take a part.
4:30 LOL "some ppl are under the impression that since were testing these high points that we advocate that you buy one, we don't, there at the top of the junk latter." its hard too keep a straight face when i hold or, shoot my friends c9. he bought it for $230 out the door, geez. when i field stripped it for him, its hard not to laugh. its better than nothing, but still though.
throw that thing off a bridge cause thats where its gonna end up anyways.

Cont. I have ran 2000 rounds through this gun personally and no issue. I believe that the newer versions of this gun are junk. but some of the older ones can be decent.
Ragnag 2 weeks ago
I personally own a hi point. It is not a newer model though. It has the european style mag release. It is .45 acp i bought from my father in law and he has put thousands of rounds through it before I purcahsed it. I have ran everything from reloads to plus P ammo and i have never had a miss fire or failure to eject or feed. I have kept this gun in my car and i live in arizona so it gets hot and fired it and still no issue. Im not advocating this gun but its luck of the draw some can be reliable
Ragnag 2 weeks ago

Z0mb3hHunt3r 3 weeks ago
@Z0mb3hHunt3r i guess you didnt watch the two videos where they fuck up that hi-point huh? i used to be like you and think that price=quality. then i learned a few things about firearms
dammitcrap 2 weeks ago
@dammitcrap Yep, I watched them. I have been around and loved firearms for 20 years, so used to be like me? Then you should know that you get what you pay for. Price does play a huge factor in quality. Something that is $80 dollars isn't worth shit. Now for you to learn something. There are plenty of brands of AR-15s that poor people like yourself cannot imagine affording, Examples: Delton, DPMS. They run about $600 dollars, and are junk. Why would someone sell a high quality gun for $80 dollars
Z0mb3hHunt3r 2 weeks ago
@dammitcrap Now for another lesson. Video games doesn't make you an expert on firearms, so you can drop everything you learned from them. It takes money to make a reliably functioning piece of machinery. Hi-point sells them for $80 dollars because they only take about 8 dollars to make. They are to shoot someone with, then throw them away. They aren't for hunting, they aren't for target shooting, You can get a Heritage Rough Rider .22lr revolver for $125 dollars, and they are made out of steel.
Z0mb3hHunt3r 2 weeks ago
@Z0mb3hHunt3r yet proven version complete shit. hell, it doesnt even make them shit at all... just obsolete. my beer refrigerator in my garage is from the 60s, and it is outdated as hell in terms of power and options... but that doesnt make it shit. actually, the knockoff firearms are more dangerous than something made in america and brand new, because at least with hi-point i wont be dropping into the cheap-casted-metal zones. yes, quality is quality, but that doesnt make something that is
dammitcrap 2 weeks ago
@Z0mb3hHunt3r Your prices are all fucked up. Hi Point pistols are in the $150 range. Also, you're an annoying son of a bitch, you know that?
huntwithairguns 2 weeks ago
@huntwithairguns Who gives a shit about the price. Also, your an annoying dumb bastard, Are you mad that you own cheapass firearms? When did your fruitty ass get into the conversation? $80-$150 dollars, if your spending that weak ass amount of money in pistols, Go back to airsoft pussy ass bitch.
Z0mb3hHunt3r 2 weeks ago
@Z0mb3hHunt3r For the record I do not currently own a Hi Point firearm, but of the ones I've shot and seen shot I've never seen a single malfunction. Yeah the pistols are ugly and inexpensive, but the work and there is no denying that. That magazines sometimes need a little tweaking but that is the only weak point to the reliability of Hi Point firearms. Also I do not own any airsoft shit.
huntwithairguns 2 weeks ago
@huntwithairguns I don't blame you for not owning one. My friend has one, and to him, it's the best thing since sliced bread. He's put about 300 rounds through it, sent it in on warranty because the slide is worn is worn out and last time he shot it, it cracked bad under the barrel, and still hasn't gotten it back, after 2 monthes. My opinion is to just save an extra 150-200 bucks and get a knock-off hi-power, used sig, or one of those sig sauer p2022 build your own kinda deals.
Z0mb3hHunt3r 2 weeks ago
@dammitcrap Quality is Quality, to make something with quality it takes quite a bit of money. You can get plenty of knock-off firearms that are reliable. But when you go that low into the price range, you get a dangerous firearm. I've been a Qualified Gunsmith for 4 years, and the basics aren't about price, it's about using good materials and making a reliable firearm, sometimes its cheap, sometimes its not, depending on which type.
Z0mb3hHunt3r 2 weeks ago
@Z0mb3hHunt3r that would imply i actually play video games. and i do own quality firearms. i also enjoy you automatically make vast assumptions about my income level due to my defense of hi-point. but im not here to argue semantics. your argument about a hi-point costing 8$ to make means little.. as a glock costs little over 80... and would you say they are junk? just because there are more expensive-to-produce operational handgun platforms out there does not make a outdated version and ungainly
dammitcrap 2 weeks ago
@Z0mb3hHunt3r intended to be for people who make lesser incomes than you or i to be an affordable way for them to protect themselves or their families, a piece of shit. and please... explain how a from the factory hi-point is dangerous? i have never once read anything about them exploding (something i have read for glocks, m&p's, colt's etc) especially if you feed them nothing but factory because i feel it is safe to say somebody buying a hi-point wont really be into reloading
dammitcrap 2 weeks ago
@dammitcrap Dangerous, If you were to enter a combat situation, you would not have a reliable weapon. Especially if it is used. Why would I feed any of my pistols non-factory ammunition? Hand loaded ammunition from Gun shows are not to be trusted, you don't know who reloaded it or if it is even quality controlled. I do not reload anything but Shotgun shells. It's not that the weapon will explode, it's the weapon will most likely jam or, have a FTF (from most likely a Light primer strike.)
Z0mb3hHunt3r 2 weeks ago
Sure, try again. But only from a rest or something safe like that.

BOBSAGATification 2 months ago
Cone on people it's no comparison. The hi points while structurally sound they tend to wear down after thousands of rounds down range n are very difficult to breakdown n clean for novice shooters. Glocks, xd, sig, even smith n wesson are easy to clean u can get an affordable used one usually for less than 2 hipoints and 10,000 rounds later you are still hitting 2inch groups for 10yds. For an under the seat gun or guns strategically placed in different areas of the home hi points are great. But
cnuffs 2 months ago
@cnuffs You can get a Glock or sig for for the price of less than two hi points? Show me where you buy your guns
