I guess this is another difference in cultures. In America a desire to win is never seen as a negative unless you want to win AT ALL COSTS. Much of the innovations in a lot of industries is due, in no small part, to the competitive spirit of the parties involved.
Personally, I've found that I give my best performances when the person before me crushes it. I get amped up.
@valarierenee Not being in it to win it has been a UKBB mantra for as long as the show has run. Personally I find it stupid. If you didn't want to win, why be on the show? But if other HM's think you have a game plan, and actually want to win, you become a pariah and get nominated. I'll give the twins credit. Before the show I thought they would be early cannon fodder, but they stuck around and helped make a great show.
