There are many people David touched by singing IMAGINE.

His beautiful tone, phrasing and interpretation made him stand out as one of the best singer of John Lennon's song.

Many past AI contestants have sang IMAGINE but it was David who made me pay attention to this song.

I listened to many many rendition of this song and I come back to David's. I honor him for touching my heart with his unique interpretation.

how could you so readily put him side by side with a legend like John Lennon. He did a good cover, who's to say he knows the real meaning of the reasons which gave birth to such a beautiful song sung by an amazing interpreter of those troubled times, John Lennon.

He's good, but what samrlim has done is a major overstatement..

One of the best interpretation and rendition of IMAGINE ever done what an amazing talent who could ever think for a 17 years old kid can ever deliver such a song so beautifully with feeling and emotion. He resuscitated this song back to life and make people get interested again with the song IMAGINE. All I can say this boy is really gifted and you never get tired listening to him. John Lenon and David Archuleta will always be remembered with this song IMAGINE.

This was a very good song, and yes he does sing well.

But i would rather have David Cook win though, he has more experience and even if David C does not win, he will mostlikely go farther in the music business than David A, just like with Chris Daughtry.

but david cook took the bigger risk and still conected with his public instead the song he choose wasn't the best for her voice and wasn't known for everyone like the imagine famous one...

I actually find it difficult to compare them because they're good at their own rights. Archu is a hardcore balladeer and has insane vocals, cook is all versatility and originality. =)

As you said, David A has insanely pure vocals, but David Cook has the edgy rocker voice and performs like a star.

I want David A to win though, simply because he's so nice about his talent. Although there's no doubt he knows his voice is excellent, the odds of finding anyone as elite as he is while remaining innocently modest, must be nearly nil!
