  • anyone notice how much this guy sounds like beck with a bit of bono?

  • had the pleasure of seeing boo at the thunderbolt in bristol for the 1st time, just fantastic, eyes welled up at white lilies, where have you been boo.

  • The Bible! are reforming for a 25th anniversary gig at the end of September 2011. Check out Boo Hewerdine's facebook page for more details!

  • It doesn't get any better than this.

  • so so beautiful

  • I've just produced the backing track for this, the Eddie Reader version, and Boo actually approves! It's on his Facebook page.

  • Could someone please tell me what chords he is playing... im trying to figure it out but it difficult for me. Cheers. thank you x

  • I have just found out that, due to a late cancellation, that we are going to see Boo tonight live in Kirkby Stephen. There was a proviso which said "bring plenty of drink with you".

I have put this on to see what he is like. I did not expect this.

Let's just say that I am now very much looking forward to seeing him tonight. What a beautiful song.

  • und I prefer auch neuerdings diesen song...

  • great, but I prefer the duo with Darden Smith...that's something like hammer!!!

    I guess. It's called "Evidence"...

  • I play just a normal E it seems to fit then to Am

  • I love Boo's version of this on 'A Live One'. Difficult to play though. The strumming can easily through you off. 'Joke' is an easier cover, I think.

  • Guitarists: What is that sneaky transitional chord at 1.59- please anyone??

  • Reckon it's an "A7" (progression from "C"). If I'm right; as he's capoed at the fifth, the fingering is from "G" to "E7". Let me know if you agree! (I'd love to see a vid of him doing "16 Miles" live. Anyone got one?

  • looks (and sounds) like an E7 @ 1.59 then onto Am again.

    Hope that helps!

  • The chord you want is E7

  • great talent 5****....Mel

  • Boo wrote this song and Eddi made it famous...think it won a Brit award. He wrote this after a woman waved at him from a double decker bus...he was looking out of his flat window. He is a lovely fella, met him at a songwriting workshop and I now prefer to listen to him singing his songs than Eddi singing them. She's damn good dont get me wrong but i love his voice more.

  • Freakin' awesome.

  • An artist like Boo comes along rarely, in troubled times he makes it all nearly make sense.

  • i'vemet boo to he's ace...x

  • I thought Billy Bragg wrote this song..or was it Kirsty MacColl...?

  • no it was boo hewerdine for sure

    but eddie reader recorded it

    billy may have covered it

  • he wrote it for eddie reader. But billy bragg is a god!

  • I love this song!

    Great job!

  • This song is beautiful...

  • Great Song

  • Incredible. Boo Hewerdine is marvellous.

  • saw you at the Blues and Roots blue mountains in 2007. Amazing! This was one of my favourites!
