The Sg-1000 and Mark III are two totally different systems.

The Sg-1000 was released on the same day as the Famicom in July of 1983 as was basically a Colecovision but better programmed.

The Mark III is a Master System with FM sound, and released in 1985.

The Sega Master System released in 1986 was the end result with sub-par sound but superior visuals.

Why Sega Master System at number 5? It did not sell good compared to N.E.S. but I am sure that it did sell better than than almost all the other consoles on the list. So I think it should be on number 10 spot.

Of those mentioned, I had a Vectrex and a Sega Master System. Speaking of SMS, I went with Sega instead of Nintendo at that time. Following that, I HAD to get the Sega Genesis primarily because of Phantasy Star 2.

I did eventually end up buying a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) because I wanted to play Final Fantasy. Then I bought an SNES mainly to play what was at the time called..Final Fantasy 2.

Haven't had a console since the 16-bit era. Been playing strictly on PC since that time.
