legitimately i'm not a fan of either team. It's playoffs though, and for the sharks to make it either nabokov or their "superstars" like thornton needed to outshine those of the ducks. Ott is a wussy. Someday he will regrets running away from opponents after chirping, taunting and all the B.S stuff he does on the ice. He has lost total respect from most players in the league. One game someone will tag him to really hurt him and he might get injured bad. The reason the Stars won't make it is injuries(Zubov,Morrow, Richards/Turco's lack of consistency this year. Ott is irrelevant. I've watched most their games on TV or went to the AAC, Ott is no impact talent wise.

lol i can tell that you dont watch hockey at all... ya series is 3-1.. sharks didnt choke. they completely outplayed the ducks.. more shots/chances/hits/pos time... the difference was Hiller stole the show. he played outstanding and thats why the ducks are gonna move on.. and prolly go out in round two..

legitimately i'm not a fan of either team. It's playoffs though, and for the sharks to make it either nabokov or their "superstars" like thornton needed to outshine those of the ducks. In typical fashion, the sharks haven't shown that in anybody they rely on. And it doesn't matter what the stats are, at the end of the day, not making it out of first round after a season like theirs pretty much sums up playoff chocking.

lol dude.. that was last year.. i was talking bout this year.. the stars were horrible.. and we took the pres trophy.. we always do good in regular seasons. we didnt choke in playoffs, we just had a bad end to the season with injuries and a few losses.. no momentum. ducks were 9-1 of last ten so as you can see momentum is huge.

I'm with you. The Sharks are on a roll but I hope that we can keep this fire power up in the playoffs. The regular season means nothing in April. We need to get past the 2nd round. We are a better team this year and the coaching staff is WAY better then it was in prior years. GO SHARKS!!!!!!!

Stars fan, here. And Uber, yeah, fair enough. I still maintain that Rivet, Shelly (most especially) and Thornton were lacking discipline. And yeah, Ott needs to chill out. He reminds me of Brendan Morrow when he came in, in 2000 and wanted to fight everybody. He faired well but toned down alot in fighting. Ott needs to do the same. Either that or gain 30 pounds.
By the way, look at .28 thru .32... looks like Shelley is jacking with Ott's fingers and wrist.

Now you're just being silly ... the definition of a goon is a player who can only fight. The sharks are ranked #2 in the NHL this year, believe me, they can play. There is a huge difference between playing a physical game and being a punk turtle. That difference is whether you're man enough to stand up when your agitation takes notice. All year long, Ott has been a complete turtle. Nobody respects turtles, end of story. Running people, then covering up after is the weakest way to play the game.

When you come into the last game taking runs at every player and hitting people well after the puck is gone, like the sharks did, how can you complain when hard hitters from the stars take exception and start hitting back and taking runs? And the only reason the sharks ended in 2nd place was because dallas had a horrible march due to major injuries within their d-core. Again the roll of an agitator is not to fight but to piss people off and draw calls. He is doing his job and doing it well.
