Hey man, I was there yesterday! It was pretty neat, albeit a tad overpriced for a 16 year old. I bought some stuff off the guy who you said "had the best stuff" I got two famicom games, 2 disk system games, and a wonderswan game from him for 2 bucks. I also picked up ninja gaiden 3 for the lynx - 10$ and a tg16 with 2 controllers/turbotap for 20$ all cause it was in sorta rough shape with no wires.
60 for a boxed sega cd is a great deal.... !!!!! I spent way to much money and will be eating peanut butter sandwiches all month. Well worth it though.
@dankss lmao yeah not sure I woulda bought the duo moniter, nifty, but it doesn't really have much of a purpose to me? To each his own man. Its SICK regardless, glad you got something rare you really wanted.
I def got some nice finds, the TG16 is the backup for my US duo, so yeah I do have a solid start :D haha. I'm an avid fleamarketer though so I go for deals, over "just cause I want it. "
And Yeah I shoulda told you I was heading out, to atleast say hi and whatnot.
yea man i dont know how long you been subbed to me but im on a mission to own every PC Engine and TG console. I have every single system except the original PC Engine and the shuttle. I own everything else. So this was a must for me. PC Engine is what i was put on this earth for =) Ive only seen one of those before and that was online this was my only chance to own this piece. Highly rare is an understatement
i wish i knew man you shoulda told me we coulda met up.... Sounds like you got some nice finds... Thats cool. no reason for you to go crazy man if you dont have it ya know. Youre still young gots lots of years of collecting ahead of ya... youre got a good head start on the game.....
Yeah, I'm curious what the prices looked like on stuff? Were different vendors differently priced on the same stuff like Famicom games or Saturn titles, or were they all about the same? Anyway, thanks for filming this, that convention looks like a wet dream.
Different vendors had diff prices. For the most part they were ebay prices but if you looked hard enough you could find some real gems for nice prices...
Hey man thanks very much for taking your camcorder and filming this. LMAO when you started talking about the Duo monitor, a major purchase was clearly on your mind!!
I spotted some pretty nice CDROMs and DC games. I bet the prices were pretty high on stuff like zero gunner 2 though right?
Awesome! You would think that with a huge college like UT and the 5 or so reputable retro game stores we have here in Austin, that we would have a meet like this... but no.
Nice stuff man, looks like there were a fair amount of imports there. That Duo monitor is pretty sick. That Saturn game is the Samurai Spirits 3 box set. You flipped through some pretty cool games, I could have spent a fortune in there.
wow amazing video so many games i mean too many games im corny dankss did they have any deals on any games or were they be like the same price at game stores
I dont remember how i heard about it i am signed up to so many newsletters and all types of shit man... I announced it though for all of you. It already ended, it was one day and that was today =**(
@dankss that sucks for the drive but it looked like it was worth it im from KY so idk how long of a drive that would be for me, i kind of dont want to think about it.
I was there and my only complaint was nobody had a famicom disk system but other than that i was satisfide
