  • That's a nice guitar

  • wow! man :D that was cool :) Do you have tabs for this? :D

  • O_O

How can u play that fast !!!

  • @blingbling098 Look up bob brozman for more speed.

  • Way to brief Lanaki ... play on! Any fiddlers and banjo pickers on the island? Slightly bigger but with the same AAA solid Sitka and I think preamp as the 75 this dread is a great guitar and made for flatpickin'. That video cam mic does a great job.

  • Sounds fantastic man! I am currently saving for a new acoustic and I love Takamine. However I am torn, do I want a Martin since I have spent almost my whole life in Pa and I have never owned one, or do I want another Tak? Both companies make fantastic guitars.

  • that sounds like hot dog by zeppelin.

  • i mean, i can play hahaha

  • wow great technique!! hope i can fly that way soon haha !!

  • It's amazing what a mm, or even half a mm, at the nut, can make to how it suits your fingers. Pity Takamine didn't make a few more 45mm (1 3/4) nutwidth guitars. 43mm (1 11/16) isn't too bad, but the G series I think are 42.5, which really cramp your fingers for those with longer fingers/bigger hands. 44mm on a Maton I played felt very roomy, so it'd be interesting to try the SBG models, just for that fact alone.

  • After watched this video, just one word want to say, that is "WOW!!!!!!!!!"

  • where do you change batteries? How difficult without the top box like most a/e guitars?

I want this...but also want a Martin DSM (what a boomer!). Can't afford both, though...play some big fat open bluegrass chords and convince me...

  • hey bj!

i see you are on the tak forum too and have gotten an answer for your question. it so happens that PtT on the forum bought my 340. this tak is most definitely a boomer and the 1 3/4" nut and beefy neck make it a great "manly" guitar. you'll love it.

  • Thanks! Will keep looking for one more in my budget...not sure if the store guy will budge that much... Yeah, i'm a big guy...sounds like a real guitar...much better than i can play...but...i'm sure have fun and practice with and that's what it's all about!!!

  • Hi ! I write these words to tell you that it was interesting, but playing just Acoustic, the sound depends of the quality of the mic of the webcam (or the mic that had been used. We can have an idea of what it can give, but I think that we would have had a better idea of the sound that we would have if you had recorded that plugged. You can answer that it depends of the amp, for exemple, but when you show an Electric-Acoustic,you plug your guitar in an E/Acoustic amp. But sounded nice like that

  • aloha lorenzino,

there's also a plugged-in demo. click on "More From: Lanaki9" over on the right. keep in mind you are still dealing with several factors: the quality of the amp, the quality of the camera mic, the quality of the upload and the quality of your computer's speakers and, as "hellohabibi1" mentioned below, the quality of the player.

rest assured, Takamine is building some very fine instruments nevertheless!

  • Hi, man ! You are right that the sound of a guitar depends of several factors, that's why I always plug my guitar when I record something, like that, it will only depends of the quality of the listener's computer's speaker. For the rest, I plug my guitars in an amplified consol,2x85watts, with 2 HPs 2x125watts . The sound of the guitar doesn't change ! My webcam doesn't even got a mic, & I prefer that, cause I wouldn't use it. I'm gonna look-at the "more from Lanaki9",to hear it plugged.BYE !

  • ddaaammnnnnn man sweet sounding guitar, this is going to be my next buy......MARTIN WHAT?! hahah seriously tho i like this sound better than any martin

  • haha i wish i could play blue grass, sounds awesome :D

  • hana hou hana hou is hammer time mahalo bro

  • I have ordered to myself this model! One of these days will come, and I hope, that it will justify expectations!:))

  • Great sound. . . and Takamine is #1 in MY book any and every day.

  • Great!

Where can I find a tab for this?

  • thanks, LPFan. it's a rather simple hammer on/off riff that i made up and i do not have tabs for it.

  • Wow...that guitar is smokin! Love the song...is that something you made up yourself? Sure do look forward to some further great playing with that amazing guitar!

  • Fantastic playing and sound!

I want to get one of those bluegrass Taks later this year, they are awesome instruments.

  • mahalo dobro. i am actually AKA randy but i've been called a whole lot worse than phil!

  • Nice sound !!!

    J:-)

  • merci, jerome!

  • aloha phil,

the only "O" i have nowadays is my adamas 1688 12 string. this tune would lose something in the translation on a 12'er, i think...

  • And why are you not doing this demo on an 'O'?
