@FromDuskTillDawn1992 Yeah, damn yankees. Everything good is American. The yanks invented Western civilization as we know it, German beer is actually American, America is the best damn country in the world, and so on and so forth, bla bla bla bla bla. Makes me want to puke. Oh...typical American beer is like diluted piss.
Even though I love the original stuff, I miss the Lowenbrau from the 80s. We drank Lowenbrau and Budweiser in my high school years of the early 80s because we weren't good enough to drink Heineken yet! Actually I really miss drinking Lowenbrau Dark more. I didn't like the Lowenbrau brewed in the 90s by Labatts up in Canada because it was a bad imitation the original beer imported from Munich.
americans only call it lowenbrau cuz it sounds foreign so more peeps buy it., any idea where haagen-dazs icecream comes from? thats right, the States!
and even more.... Haagen dazs has no meaning! It's a made up word ... I wandered what it might have meant cause the words were not familiar sounding in any german or bavarian region's natural language... so I wrote to the company and they told me! It had no literal meaning!!! Foreign sells!!!!
Great commercials, classy and a catchy slogan sung by the late Arthur Prysock- the Barry White of beer commercials!
I was only eight when this ad came out but I remember most of these cool commercials. I also enjoyed the Stroh's commercials- even though Stroh's id lousy beer. Lowenbrau is great- reminds me of Heineken. Just had a botlled six pack last week!
@markjpope Lowenbrau is actually better now than it was back then. American Lowenbrau in the '70s-80s was really just glorified Miller, but nowadays they import the real stuff from Germany.
Tough to find, but some places still carry it. I've had the best luck in places that stock LOTS of selection, like larger grocery stores and supercenters. Some liquor stores carry it, but it might be hidden in favor of more popular beers--I've had to ask before if a store carried it, and they'd bring some out of the back if I didn't find it right away.

@cntower01 I loved Lowenbrau, too. Dark or light. Too bad you can't get it anymore.

Actually, it's pronounced Lervenbrau, with umlauts. And the w is pronounced as a v.

with umlauts, it would be properly pronounced lowen-Broy.

I remember this tune, but don't recall the video. Absolutely beautiful melody! The video I remember to this song was with the scuba divers.
