@awbennen For sure a strat, very likely a Fender, and if a Fender, my bet is that it is either the 1961 Fiesta Red one or the 1965 Olympic White one. Search the Internet for Ingo Raven Mark Knopfler guitars. He knows A LOT about the topic.

I enjoy the sound distinctiveness of his quitar...Mark is so underrated, he is too modest and does not like being forefront....one of the best musicians, anyway. Thanks for posting it.
