I remember being about 5 and mom and dad would play his Albums cranked all the way up, I think over the years that this mans voice and story's lead me down the right path in life. There will never be another composer, singer and spiritual leader. Every time I listen to to him it takes me back to the best place in life......With my parents and brother!!!!

@startwynkles58 He did a great deal of searching before he did. He was raised Catholic and then fell back on music when times got rough and he lost his faith in Christianity. He looked into Buddhism and other eastern religions and came to Islam do to personal experiences that happened after his brother gave him a copy of the Quran.

@isadealhue I'm not sure why this person won't say where they came from. I've had them for about 3 years. Search "Cat Stevens 9 Lives" and you will find downloads for this. This is a 15-track CD that someone close to Yusuf undoubtedly bootlegged. A few months after 9 Lives surfaced, the deluxe versions of Tea For the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat were released with some of these same demo tracks.

This is a masterpiece!! I'm really surprised that steve never released this song. It's quite compatible with Mona Bone Jakon, and I can't imagine how good it would be if it was recorded officially. I listen to stevens daily, but i'm sure this is one of his best performances!! the voice is so clear - Oh My God!!

This stuff is great, so thanks a bunch for posting. Any dates for any of these demos? Assume by the sound that its around the 70-72 period, MBJ, Tillerman and Teaser. Where did you find them? Also, judging by your collection your a big fan of the more obscure stuff, things off the last 3 albums. Do you know of any demos from any other albums than MBJ, TFTT and TATF? Any from buddah, foreigner, numbers would be extra special!
