I'm having trouble in Cubase 5 - I have a project that is just 4 VST instruments, and when I export to Mp3, the file is created, some of the song plays then it's just silence through the rest of the song. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I have all the tracks with the loop selection correctly marked.

@ObediaTutor Hi, yes it does, I have sort of worked out what I think the problem is. Under the Auto Fade controls, I pushed all the control points to the top of the box, and this seems to have fixed the problem. I didn't apply a fade to the song and so have no idea how to properly turn it off. Thanks for your willingness to help though.

could someone please help i have cubase 5 and when i go to mix down it says not enough space available on disc for export. what does this mean as i have loads of memory

@route19band Your hard drive is full - you'll need more hard drive space. Memory/hard drive space are two different things.

Hi, im using Cubase LE 5 and I need to export it to a mp3 file in 16bit. Is it possible to change the bit to 16 rather than the 32bit?

@soufong yes - make the changes in your audio mixdown dialog box.

nevermind I fixed it ASIO config the Mackie was not Xed.

I have Cubase Studio 4 and suddenly no sound comes out of my Mackie when I select it, I tried everything, Reinstalled after removal, I have reinstalled the firmware still when I play a regular MP3 on my computer it comes out the headphones thru my Mackie Spike Xd-2 but in Cubase Studio 4 it simply stopped working. What happened? I checked everything - The Mackie Simply will NOT record unless the ASIO driver is selected...LOL!

Whenever i follow all these steps, and then I click export, it like freezes and stays at 0% until i then have to end the task and close it....idk why it wont export.

I'm using Cubase LE 4. When I try to export it's NOT giving mp3 as an option; I'm only seeing, "Wave File, AIFC File, AIFF File, & Windows Media Audio File."  Thanks.

@leviathonCage could be an LE issue. See if there are any updates for LE, and do a reinstall if not.

i can make my cd,but when i convert the file into mp3 form,i can only hear sound out of one speaker.i have it in stereo,is that the problem? that im not making the stereo to come out of both speakers?

@beenoopo you have to make sure all of your audio tracks are enabled to give sound output.

My songs don't sound as good as they do normally after I export the audio, what could I be doing wrong, I use a motu 2408 audio interface with cubase 4, while the program is open they sound really good but once I export them.... not so well

@mrhensonandmrhartzog Check your mp3 encoder settings, if they're very low, you'll get low quality audio. Call us if you can't figure it out!

This doesn't say anything about how to deal with midi tracks.

@BuildingCastlesMusic that's because we're only talking about exporting audio. All you need to do is bounce your MIDI to audio tracks.
