oye yo cuando grabo canciones en el adobe 3 y luego la afino en el melodyne 3 y despues cuando ya esta afinada la proceso en el adobe 3 despues la escucho en el adobe 3 y se escucha cortado me puedes decir para que no se escuche cortado
What gives with all the negatives? Are we a bunch of cry babies, or do we seek to draw attention to ourselves to give dubious meaning to our lives? Why can't you people just talk about the most challenging aspect of life: Hopefull positive, forward moving, problem-solving,
uplifting, smile-provoking, Happy-bound, and optimistic outlooking thoughts, instead of dread and doomsday gloom.
I believe that our kind create our OWN dispair. Only we can improve our lives, no matter how destitute we ar
get over it, the music business is screwed anyway...people dont buy CD's anymore...but this program isnt going to really help you sing properly at a gig which is where muso's make their money
I'll choose to be a star any day. The musical part (background instrumentals, melodyne, and lyrics) is important. And the singer...I just want them to look good and dance good.
Hey this thing is pretty cool plus you can use it to have those vocal effects where it sounds like there is no bending in pitch change. (They do it in Buy you a drank and in some other songs too."
Since this is a plug-in, you usually insert it in single tracks of your song. You can open multiple instances, though, so you could basically tweak all tracks simultaneously. If you want to tune and stretch a full mix, you need the large version (Melodyne studio), because it is the only Melodyne version that has a special algorithm for polyphonic material (i.e. chords).
This is great for music you idiots. This is the beginning of the downfall of the major record labels. Independent artists will be able to sound completley professional now and the monopoly will fall.
riiight just like the internet is "good for music"...sure your average joe can now get heard worldwide and doesn't need a major label, but the music is getting SHITTIER and SHITTIER. So yea, I dont know if Id say its "good for music" it is pretty cool though, regardless of what it does for the music biz
I'm a Recording Engineer, and Melodyne 3.1 is in my arsenal of weaponry. It shouldn't be looked at so negatively either. Put yourself in these shoes: Your record label is spending up to $20,000 each time you go into the studio. You just NAILED a really solid vocal, except there's this one spot in the middle that just isn't right. Well instead of RE-recording, you can save the entire vocal track with this software.
Granted there ARE people out here who will use this on everything, and those are the people who use it for evil. But otherwise, this is a great piece of gear for someone to use to be able to save something awesome. You'll never be able to sing or play something the EXACT same way as you did before, you only get one shot. THIS thing here could be the thing that gets you a platinum record.
Fake? I think music biz has always been like this. In the early days of audio recording, the not so talented singer would record like 100 takes until it was okay. Now they can do it much faster and better with Melodyne, that's all. Anyway, I see Melodyne as a creative tool rather than a corrective one (like Autotune). You can use it to compose, you can try out alternative timing ideas, you can simply play around with the material just as with MIDI notes. Wouldn't want to miss it in my studio. :)
hmm, i see some of your points, but 100 takes at least shows the singer put effort into getting the song great, rather than giving it a poor effort and just correcting it str8 off..what talent does that show really? it should only be used to a minimal, just to put the practically perfect take 100% perfect
you cant just record a wheezing beast and make them sound perfect, they have to have some talent in them anyway, i dont think this program will do miracles, it just cleans it up abit, what everyone does
fair points, but i think some people will take advantage of it abit too much, i hate bands that suck live cos of programs like this making them sound fantastic in the studio
Many bands sucked live, way before Melodyne existed. They drink, run around, get nervous, took 200 takes to nail a solo, singers throat is burnt out from touring too much.
@dafunkmastah77 bollocks, someone like aretha franklin or robert plant would nail a vocal in a few takes. David Bowie did a whole album in a week, all 1st or 2nd take vocals. now people no longer practice at the art of singing or being a good musician cus of this technology which can make any mediocre pile of shit human being sound perfect. FUCKING HATE TECHNOLOGY, its too late now anyway. technology has actually ruined the human race. u'll see what i mean eventually
@dafunkmastah77 or one could respond with less small minded conservative techno fear, like most people do to new emerging technologies and see it the other positive way. How super human or beyond human we can be. Hey, my opera singer loves this software. And I use exoskeletons to make music with. so.... Melodyne rocks baby!... :-P
Great software!
