I growing up in downtown/Gowanus.Red Hook Brooklyn, groups like the Crytals were the sound of the street then.. at the beach, on the stoop, hot summer nites, Murray the K shows... Italian, Irish. Puerto Rican and Black took time out to chill on the sounds... johnny pumps, sipping coke, Mr. Softy,,, jeans and white t-shirts hanging out on the street corner...throwing rocks from the piers into the river, coomba.s driving thier big cars, hey what was the # tonite?
