Hey man, Could you please describe in detail what were the electrical problems you had with this. what is the microswitch? and how are the rods supposed to be in the right place. I have already burned 2 batts and open and closed the Gbox more than 6 times.. changed the motor too for an Ares higt Torque. Could you please give me a hand I have had this gun out of action for more than 6 months trying to figure the electrical problems out. How exactly does the swith work inside? pls help. THANK YOU!

@ronstyle hi there i was only relaying the info the tech told me. I don't actually know about the internalls. I would reccomend seeing a professional airsoft tech that has worked with tar's before as they probably can do a lot more than you could do. Your problem could also be completely differerent to mine.

is that the stock spring installed still? I believe the stock spring is a m100 or m110? I have the dark earth railed version, it shoots around 330 fps with .2g at 21 bbps stock. I like the info you gave so now I know what to look at if my gun fails.

@jtlachappelle after it was fixed, its now running pretty well. There is an included shooting test at around 200ft if you go towards the end

@jtlachappelle lol why KWA? there are many awesome makes out there... even cheap ones like JG and CYMA. half of my collection is from CYMA and JG and they all work tip top... no big failures to report... only small ones like a bad fuse...

@RtdXyron "lol"? Laughing about what...the brands you mentioned are ok, but KWA blows them away in quality of engineering and manufacturing. With a KWA you can drop an M140 or M150 spring right in, with no upgrades other than a good shim job, and its good to go for thousands of rounds. Try that with a stock Cyma or JG and itll shred itself. Not to mention that KWA's excellent quality gives fantastic accuracy right out of the box. Its just a vastly superior product...

@jtlachappelle all true, but I never said you can take CYMA or JG and drop a high velocity spring right in... Regular AEG-s are not meant to go over M120 springs and CYMA and JG can handle that very well. Also with KWA comes semi high price tag, equal to which you could get a cheaper VFC like SCAR H for example and in that case I honestly can't see anyone buying KWA...For tuning ICS reigns superior still...

I lold because you are only pro 1 make when you fail to reconsider others.

@RtdXyron I'm not talking about "regular AEGs", I'm talking about exceptional AEGs. If you want a regular, mediocre AEG, get a JG or Cyma. But if you want to go out and kick ass, and reliably, get a KWA. As for ICS, maybe they're great for tuning, but the whole point is that you don't have to "tune" a KWA....you just drop a spring in it and you've got a monster...Id rather pay for the "semi high price tag" and have something I don't have to fuck around with.

@jtlachappelle ICS is with a very impressive internals... They do basically the same thing as KWA + their M series is super easy to modify and higher quality. and VFC also gives you a monster out of the box... Imo Ares is not an exceptional AEG make but is overpriced. And still since VFC is pretty much same priced as KWA and they offer larger variety of guns then its still the case of VFC>KWA for me. You go ahead and go nuts on KWA but for me they're nothing new or special...

ARES sucks. Our team has 2 ares guns, the tavor and g36c. both of them have WAY too many problems, never work, and just dont work well when they do. The tar has cost about 500 bucks so far and DOESNT WORK. The g36c is well over 500 in and makes weird noises, but still shoots. The only thing ares makes well is externals.

Very informative vid. Was at one point thinking about getting the tar as well(love bullpups)but i saw other vids and read other comments from ppl suffering the same problems with it. Now i'm debating between still getting my g&g fn2000 or get the famas foreign legion/cybergun(very first bullpup and airsoft gun i really wanted and saw, plus one of my fav guns of all time). i forgot to mention, use a mosfet to prevent microswitch failure. you can fine tune the trigger pull by rod adjustment and microswitch trimming. don't trim too much or it will stay on full auto. update on my 80 rps, it was a false chrono reading, it's more like 50 rps. also, my gearbox finally cracked, my fault. i didn't reinstall the two screws up inside the mag well when using an sp170

i pretty much ironed out my trigger problems. the rod length is really sensitive and must be adjusted just right. on my spare tavor gearbox ($118.00 US from zshot), i added a DSG(80 rps) and had issues with misfeeds and loss of full auto. mosfet works great. i posted a video response but i'm not sure if it will post.

@oSAMKIDo yes they would it costs £35 for labour per hour (£35 minimum charge) and you can either get your own part and give it to them or they will get them for you for a price.
