@Alevamltd not as much as the psycho remake. Since it was the best version available until the gorgeous Kino restore, I've got an attachment to it. have this one for the music, the restore for the "real film"
The only version worth having is the Moroder version. And some guy is restoring the Moroder version with cleaner footage...thus making the ULTIMATE version of Metropolis (which, because of legal problems is hard/impossible to get)
@jscottupton That's crazy. The most recent Kino version is the one to have, since it's the closest to the original film. Moroder's is fun, but it's not the real Metropolis.
Hmm, sometimes the music went really well, other times it made the scene more epic than it really was. The addition of sound effects was good though. The colour tinting was also an added bonus, though sometimes it made the scene too dark and blotted out. The lyrics is what really ruined the experience though, when you're watching a love scene you don't want to be told by the song that you are watching one happening. Plus this one doesn't even have the extra footage, like the 2001 one!
@aiueoVVVeiimiiVVVsan This version doesn't have the extra footage because it wasn't available yet. Giorgio Moroder worked with the best cut he could find. This is one of the most butchered films ever.
I have that Metropolis vinyl in perfect conditions if someone is interested to get it, it includes an amazing black and white Maria's robot picture. original, just contact me.
lol it took me a while before I realised that the name over there is actually the name of the artist working on the soundtrack... well that when Isaw freddie mercury o the screen...
Great.. I ponder exactly where the improper sort of comments are.

@MrWackypackages What about the 2001 version, it has a lot more footage than Moroder's version and original soundtrack?
