Pakistan should replace its F-7, Mirages, A-5 with JF17 and then may be put more focus on inducting J-10s. This looks like a better option than JF-17.
F-16s may or may not work, who knows US may deactivate their electronics and they may never take off in the event of war.

Politics, war and economy are 3 different things; each have their own spheres. Trade plays a big decision in averting wars. If economic ties are too huge, war becomes impossible and hence both parties stay in their limits. Our policy is to have partners not allies.

What alienation are we talking about? We don't need "help" in case of a conflict and are quite capable to stand on our own. There's no "alignment" as we are a neutral country with independent stand.

@nanacoil The J-10 is not a Lavi. it may look a little similar, but thats it....The J-10 was derived from the J-9, and the J-9 was around well before the Lavi. Just saying. Israel does not have a fighter, cos P&W took their ball home with them.

I am proud that China has come such a long way. Our defense industry was in shambles under Mao and his idiotic idealogy. When that maniac dictator died we had practically 30s and 40s technology. However, in just 30 years, we have progressed more than the whole world wanted to believe, and now we are capable of making such a beautiful bird that will defend our skies. We will continue to progress and China will shine.

j10 designed as a 4.5 generation fighter multi role combat aircraft; it is similar to Euro fighter ; Gripen; Rafael that are the latest technology; so what who copy who???? china got a very advance high tech development and most of the students are coming home to work now; china is buying very little hardware now day.
