Still remember my dad taking the family to this movie. It was on a double bill with "A Fistful Of Dollars". He paid $4 Dollars for a party of five. With popcorn, candy and drinks the grand total came to about $10.00.
@NeverAloneForever The last time I went to a movie was the opening of the AFI Silver Theater in Silver Springs, Maryland. Clint Eastwood was the special guest and the film that showed was "Once Upon A Time In The West".
Guys... there IS no stealing in film. Films BORROW. They could only steal if they made the exact same movie, which they don't. They use subtle little details from other movies. You see this all the time. How many times have you heard a character in an action movie say, "Time to kick some ass." Plenty of times right? Well someone used it first, does that make everyone else a thief? No. Plus, movies are remade all the time. No one calls thievery then.
Tarantino makes movies in that classic way I love. Go watch inglorious bastards , it to is a great movie and has a wonderful soundtrack with plenty of Ennio Morricone.
Real, unique and revolutionary classic! Clint Eastwood, Gian Maria Volonte and Lee Van Cleef did a brilliant job. In this film you cannot find just good and bad guys which makes this film even more special. I always praise original films more but For A Few Dollars More was even better than original. Our modern so-called "blockbusters" look like crap compared with this trilogy
@VISIONmg86: Finding a Morricone album that has the original recordings rather than some synthesized cover can be difficult. The OST to "For a Few Dollars More" itself is really expensive nowadays - instead, look for "Fistful of Sounds". It has the soundtracks to "Few Dollars More", as well as "Fistful of Dollars" and "Once Upon a Time in the West". You can probably find a cheap second-hand copy on Amazon or something; I'd recommend it.
It's so very suspenseful, and is so haunting-if I ever come to a duel in my life, I want this as the soundtrack. Ennio Morricone is an absolutely amazing composer, long may he reign.
Lol a very naive way of looking at the internet...... everything on the internets monitored in some way and its just too taxing to go through all that data looking for specifics. So believe me when I say people know what your doing everytime you log on :D
What's with all the Tarantino/Leone comparisons? Two different directors aiming for different things in their audiences, different messages, different ambiences and different expressions. Both great in their own right. I lean towards Leone because I find Tarantino a little self-indulgent, but that doesn't mean I don't think QT is a great director. They're both amazing, both worthy of praise and both visionaries without whom the entire medium of film would be horribly poorer.
podías haber puesto alguna imágen más de esa misma película, otros carteles con mismo título y distintos al que cuelgas por ejemplo, en fin, salvo ese pequeño detalle, la música que en sí era lo que importaba, de 10, como todo lo del genio Morricone
the man with no name trilogy was the GODFATHER of ALL westernes the music was so awsome their wasnt much in the movie but when their was it was absolutley perfect for the scene
Clint Eastwood's western movies are just epic all around. This music by Morricone coupled with the movies just blows me away every time I watch them. I wasn't even born when the movies came out, but I'd have to say my mom raised me right by showing these to me.
@VoodooGypsy Glad you recognize brilliance as displayed by Clint, LVC, GMV, Sergio, and Morricone. Amazing stuff - and yes, your Mom did a good job indeed!
Anyone have sheet music for this, either official or even handwritten? I'd LOVE to be able to play the trumpet part. I looked everywhere for The Trio from TG TB & TU, finally found it, and it's so much fun to play. I'd love to be able to have this to say the same. Message me if you know anything about the sheet music! Thanks.
Not only did they mix up the organ version with the trumpet version, they also shortened the part with the guitar. In the expanded ost they restored the complete prgan version but not this one. I wish they had just included this song like it was in the final duel.
To the anti-Tarantino group: Sergio Leone stole from Akira Kurosowa. Drama is all about stealing other people's ideas. Take an acting class and you'll realize that real fast.
Omg, Tarantino is awesome, the only guy who doesnt use an overload of computer animation in his films, now, stop arguing, and listen to classic western music!
The people hating on Tarantino are retarded. Who cares, anybody who has common sense knows he's not stealing stuff because he wants to make a profit off of it or he can't think of his own stuff, he like to pay homage to the films he loves and grew up with. Get over it, Tarantino is a great writer/director.
@unknown1771 , Tarantino can't hold a candle to Leone. The comparisons have no sense. Personally I have never liked Tarantino's over the top gratuitous graphicness, his sick spilling blood scenes leave me cold. Leone was a real innovator who could make a great movie on a ridicolously low budget.
@unknown1771 my favorite seen in Kill Bill is the bud and bill dialogue in the desert. If someone cannot see the homage and love he shows to Leone and Morricone are blind.
@unknown1771 there is no such thing as a watchable original idea anymore....steal and get influence from anything you possibly can as long as you make it good...being authentic is MUCH better than being original
@unknown1771 Totally true..Tarantino one of the greatest director and writer in the film history. He has a great vision. If imagination is dead film making is dead too and I also don't understand the people who hates Star Wars and LOTR without them there are no films..
