@jessie300000 It's a very simple effect, you just make the clips smaller, place them, and put them on the layer above the main clip. And yes, it's doable in Sony Vegas.

I don't use Sony Vegas, so I wouldn't know, but I just take a screenshot of the scene in my episode that I want (using the Mac's built-in screenshot tool) and then I put text on it in Photoshop. Then I import that into Final Cut Pro.

As for the color thing, I basically chroma-keyed out Azula's eyes on one clip, and then inverted it so everything BUT her eyes was gone. Then I put that clip of only her eyes above a clip of all of her, but in black and white. :)

Ok well this is how I did it: Make 3 video layers. From bottom to top, I'll call them 1, 2 and 3. On #1, I put a clip of fire. on #2, I put the clip of Katara with the eyes cut out. On #3, I put the clip of her eyes (filling the blank space of the clip under). Then I chroma-keyed out the blue of Katara's eyes from video layer #3. This results in the fire all the way at the bottom showing through to the top. :)

This was better than I expected. A part of me thought this would be like any other amv out there, but you definitely surprised me. Parts of the video was great (flow, timing, pacing), considering that you synced it together w/ the music, although some effects and overlays were a bit unnecessary. Don't let the special FX dominate your video. But still, it was pretty cool to watch. Hope you didn't get offended. Thanks for sharing this video.

OK so in imovie when you click the timeline view it shows three different 'levels' or 'shelves' I added vid to the first level then tried to add vid to the second level to 'overlap' them. But that didn't work. I could overlap music but not vids. I wanted to know if thats what you did 4 the eyes or if you did something else. BTW wat r ur new vids now? Ide like to c them. I also put someup too u should c. :)

Pretty average 3/5. The overwhelming use of overlays, choppy cuts, and poor masking ruined the flow of the video. Also, you should try to stay away from clips where the characters are talking. *this is not a flame comment, just my opinion. Hey, this video is amazing. But I have a question. This video says it was uploaded on March, 31, 2008, right? Well, you have clips from the episode "the Firebending Masters". That episode came out on July, 5, 2008. The clips you used came out almost four months AFTER this video was uploaded. O.o is it just me or is there something wierd going on... (By the way, the clips from "the Firebending Masters" are at 0:09, 0:55 1:10, and 2:14.

Lol. Where have you been? First off: The firebending masters premiered in the US even later than July 5. It came out July 15. Secondly and most important, that episode aired in Canada in January 2008. Therefore, that's when it was on the internet.

I like your AMVs cause they have great stories! but you should work a bit at the effects part... I'm not saying you should use more effects.. I'm saying some of them aren't necessary cause they don't make the scene look better and shouldn't be used at all. but this is your own style. you also improved so keep up the good work :)
