I love this band with all my heart and it kills me that they're in this funk that no one, including myself, can understand. Oh and by the way, that is Scott Koziol on bass. He toured with them in the early 2000's, and can be seen in the One Step Closer video, while Phoenix toured with his other band at the time The Tasty Snax.

i dont really get why he suddenly became those pitchproblems when he went to to Hybrid theory, in grey daze he always had a reasonable pitch and autotune didnt exist back then... :/

I completely agree with DoubleHelix. I've been a LP fan for many years, on their Street Team and member of LPU, however I think that MTM was generally a piece of crap (in my opinion). All this talk posted about how they evolved & going in a new direction with their music - well they evolved into putting out Top 40 junk.
Makes me hella sad watching these old videos. I sure in the hell hope they go back to putting out the best music which was Meteora & Hybrid Theory.
Don't think about the cd as a Linkin Park album, but think about it as a Rock/soft album... its a awesome record for being a pop-rock/Pure rock/metall cd..

Maybe chester can't always use his raspy screaming voice as much as he used to, but he can still compensate with a loud yelling voice and fill in as much as he can with his raspy voice. He still has plenty of power with loud singing.

How about in general. He can barely even hit the pitch he used on cd although ill give it to you he can still sing soft very well. And just because he can scream for 18 seconds doesn't mean he is still a good vocalist. If anything, he should stop doing that completely:

He never sang as bad as he is until they made MtM.
He isn't as good as he used to. Plus, all your examples were from the record. Listen to him live nowadays, his voice is nowhere near as strong as he used to. It tires quite quickly and just isn't as powerful. And that 18 seconds scream thing wasn't justified, I've heard it live several times, at not once has he done the whole scream without stopping. He isn't as good of vocalist live as he used to be.

It tires quite quickly and just isn't as powerful. And that 18 seconds scream thing wasn't justified, I've heard it live several times, at not once has he done the whole scream without stopping. He isn't as good of vocalist live as he used to be.

no dumbass, a real ffan doesnt follow blindly, a real fan critiques the band for their music so that they can improve. if you constantly love them unconditionally then they have no reason to improve... if they hadn't gotten such ridicule from their fans about Minutes To Midnight their new album would still be like it...

LP was better back in 2000. Chester's voice was better, the songs were better, and I can't stand when people blindly support the new crap they put out with Minutes to Midnight because it was by LP, and only because it was by LP.

Thats just wrong. Only cause they had a different style in their new album doesn't mean they are crap. I love both new and old Linkin Park. Not because it is Linkin Park. But i like rock and Nu metall in general, and i think they pretty much handle both gengres pretty good. I was actually wery happy when i heard the new style, as i tought both Hybrid Theory, and Meteora had pretty much the same style. (I loved that style) i always wanted to see them doing more soft, or more pure rock.

new linkin park suck, only hybrid theory ep, hybrid theory and meteora (just a little) rule, this new album is just like a 'making the band' album, i really miss the old style, i saw them in 2002 y that show kick maximum ass, now they're so pop and soft, that i just can hear them or watch them, sorry...
