  • I will eat that mango, without cutting it, peeling it or even misusing a single drop of it. Once I am done, that mango will be left out with its seed covered by its jacket, all juices gone. Read mahatma Gandhi for how to eat a mango ;)

  • That is exactly how my mom taught me when I was young. I'm Indian and I think it's in our genes to know how to peel mangoes. :)

  • ...white people

  • @KrisWiggly no reason to...

  • @cookingfordads why you mad?

  • @cookingfordads yep the white culture is very sensitive to white jokes too. I never understood why though? I'm half white and make white jokes all the time. I also make asian/filipino jokes (my other half), black jokes, mexican jokes, etc etc with all my friends. The only ones that can never laugh about themselves are white people. Not a stereotype, just an honest to goodness observation.

  • @KrisWiggly I was referring to the old song, "Short People" .. got no reason to, short people got no reason to live..... That's what was going through my ADHD head. :-)

  • @cookingfordads well don't I just sound like an ass. touche

  • That looks like a very unsafe way to cut a mango because you are holding the knife on top of the mango and cutting down with your hand under it. Someone will hurt themselves this way..

  • @outspeaker You can cradle the mango in your hand and make the same cuts he does, though it might be a bit messier than his way.

  • how do you skin a green mango for a sour dish @-@??????

  • I like eating the mango through the seed sucking on the juice. the best

  • you skin that mango

  • wow that looks more easy to cut now thanks

  • THANKS for that method of peeling, saved me an embarrassing call to my mother who always claims that peeling mangoes is an art :) Cheers and Happy Easter.

  • but i'm a mom.... D:

  • @1radash moms are great, and they can peel mangos too

  • @cookingfordads lol, oh ok thanks, that makes me feel better ;)

  • WOW 3 supers

  • We always make mangos with pepper. You peel the mango (doesnt have to be extra ripe), remove the pit and then cut it up into squares. Then you put it in a bowl, grind a lot of pepper on it and add a lot of lime juice. After put it in the fridge for several hours. Yum!

  • @Croetje wow, I totally have to try that. really, pepper?

  • @cookingfordads ya it's delicious

  • this is like a thai dessert dish my mom used to make!

  • @aznmamiokistyle That's where I learned about it at our favorite Thai restaurant.

  • @OldMrMemories I made a sauce, 1 can coconut milk, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 sp salt, boiled it and then poured it over 3 cups of rice. Does that help. It really is good, try it. rb

  • I love stick rice with mango! Thanks so much for the recipe!

  • I know I have asked this before. What brand of knives do you have in your butcher's block? I promise I will write it down.

  • Great time of the year here in MN to njoy that dish. Thanks Chef.

  • nice

  • In the video description, Rob, you're telling us not to subscribe or rate. Is that some kind of clever "reverse psychology" thing? ;D

  • (Or are you just checking to see who's paying attention?)

  • @KlaxonCow Glad to see some one actually reads those things. I figured if the plea to rate and sub didn't work, why not try the opposite. Have a great day.

  • My mom has a mango tree in her yard in Puerto Rico and she peels it just like that...great job Rob!!

  • @PrincessDiana161 Wish we could grow them in MN

  • you look sunburnt

  • I eventually figured out the same peeling method after cutting my first mango a month or so ago. Haha.

The coconut rice looks really good though. I'm definitely going to try that!

  • yes, but now its fixed

  • Normally when I eat Mango I make a huge Mess and everything is sticky cause of Mango Juice.

Thats a good way to do this - keeps your hands and the Table clean.

I really need to try that Recipe - looks tasty.

  • Sweet rice & mangoes are my favorite dessert of all time.

  • Why did it say earlier that you blocked it? Issues with YouTube?

  • Mmm, I want to dry some mangoes this summer! Such a nice snack! Great vid, Rob!

  • FIRST and mango is good but only if it's sweet
