The weight...you displayed the weight of the fabric on the body so well in each painting and even compensated for the increased mass of water on the edges. You made wet dresses one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I want to go to the beach so bad now and just draw someone walking on the edge of the water.

God! I have a picture of my mother on Santo André's beach (Sines, Portugal, 1975), which is like a "true print" of that blond young lady at 2:09.

(sorry, I know nobody cares about this, but I felt surprised and shared it :) )

I find it fascinating that some people have the ability to paint such beautiful art. to paint the scenery, and the people.. in such small and minute detail, and at the same time bringing an overall feel or essence to the picture which is holistic in nature.. fascinating

Robert Hagan can paint that's a cert! He's a figurative artist but he knows all this...what i will say is that his luminousity his high spirited compositions work miraculously well. There's an innocence in his subject matter that is 'fresh'. No one can dare say ' no i don't respect his art' because it is technically very strong instinctive and truly top level art.

Respect from a fellow artist (who ego apart takes his cap off and nods in respect)

Two more points: in a company of beautiful females one painting shows a female figure taking a walk through the forest, a hat in hand but her face has been disfigured. I got a strange aesthetic shock there! Why such a face? Could it be the face of an acid victim? A spirit without an Eartlhy identity? Who could she be?

Another thing to notice about this Romantic painter's work is his imposition of photographs on some of his canvases.

Thanks for this wonderful video. My regards to the artist. The background music is repetetive but beacuse of the diversity of the paintings it can get away without being labelled monotonous I guess.
