Why don't all emergency responders boats have floating fire pumps and basic fire gear and fire fighting trainiig. What if someo ne would have been injured, alone on the burning boat and unable to get off wiht out help. They might have died in this fire. It took the fd a long time to get there. Thats why all emergency responders on water should have minimal fire fighting abiltiy & training. May be some day! Thanksfor posting this video.

I can't understand why fire boats don't have piping booms so they can shower a boat fire from high up.... In all the videos I see the majority of the water flies over the burning boat because they all have deck mounted nozzles... ?????

@streetwhereulive If the fuel container is external, say on an outboard Boston whaler it could create some debris if blown, but for trawlers or tachts its doubtful the vessel would "blow up" anymore than knock a hole on the side and capsize.

@arcanecraft lol i had a boat like this but smaller and fire was what a feared most on it cos it was all wood, fiberglass, carpet and plastic with a never ending smell of fuel. Fires on motorboats start easy cos on a summer day the static that builds up in plastic and metal is insane and can easily set petrol on fire when you are filling up or if there is a leak
