Wow! I'm 17 and I remember when I was 6 or 7 years old. I would ride with my older brother in his jeep, down to Ocean City, MD, with the top down and the bass boomin! We would ride with Nsync blaring! I remember this one moment really well. We had the doors off, bikini top on, bass boomin, Nsync blastin and some older couple came up to us at a stop light and just glared at us. It's songs like this that brings up good ol' childhood memories.

This song really embodies the optimism kids felt as the year 2000 approached. Sure, some people were freaked out about Y2K, but to me, it was a new millenium coming, and we felt like anything could happen.

.... then came 9/11, Iraq, Katrina, various tsunamis and earthquakes, mass shootings, the economy going into the toilet, etc. etc....
