If you're looking for a good place to level up your holoshield, I find Holostar Studios to be a good place, particularily where the big tyrannoids are bearing down on you, they fill up the guage nice and quick.  The shields last for about 10 seconds, so be sure to count instead of just waiting till they actually get a shot through.
