Danny o'day was in a Fort Myers First Federal Saving and Loan commercial in Fort Myers Florida. I believe it was a promotional event to receive a Danny O'day puppet for starting

a new account at the savings and loan. this took place in the late fifties and early sixties

I believe.

The full commercial is VERY good- Danny O'Day is up against the "Champ" {he even tells Jimmy, his trainer, to make sure there's "Quik for the referee"}- to no avail. It takes a glass of Quik to revive Danny out of his "knock-out stupor". When he does, he insists on going back into the ring {JIMMY: "The fight's over."/DANNY: "Really? Who won?"}.
