The mystery of this song is this: Aslan is a type of Jesus, who also died and rose from the dead. Narnia is the spirit world that exists today where the angels and demons- heaven and hell exist. Lewis based much of his work on biblical stories, the word 'Wunderkind' and this particular song actually refers to Lucy who despite her age is meant to be the Princess of Narnia, destined to save their world. (wunderkind is defined as a 'child wonder') There is mention of Lucy being the 'Joan of Arc' in this context that would appear to be referring to the fact that no one believed her about defending Narnia & the 'true king'(Aslan= Joan's 'Dauphin' Prince)

Lucy is one of my favorite characters because she is so innocent and I Like Edmond too because he is a true hero after betraying his siblings he helped Peter fight the White Witch and did alot of other heroic stuff

This song is one important piece of my childhood. Since I was about four or five and saw the Lion the witch and the wardrobe I've been watching the Narnia movies and I've grown up with Lucy. Lucy always reminds me of my little girl part, so I will never lose it :) This is amazing, and the feeling of this song, of the movie, the pure innocence - I feel that I can wear cute dresses and headbands, I can find my own wardrobe and I can be this wunderkind again :) NARNIA forever! :)

i like the video the imagry was strong, the song is wonderful. There are a few places where the lyrics are wrong, if you didn't look up a lyric site may i suggest doing so? If you did, some of them prove to be less credible than they should be, perhaps checking on an alanis site or summat else would help tremendously. Otherwise the video was fabulous

Why does it say Queen of Narnia under the Ice lady. She's not the queen. She's the bad guy. Aslan is the king and he definitely isn't married to the ice lady. Then Caspian becomes king and he isn't married to the ice lady either.

@kkdkoolkat2 but in that film the Ice Lady IS the queen of narnia. she spread her iceness over the land of narnia, a bit like hitler in the 30's and 40's and established herself as the queen of narnia until the pevinsees came along and toppled her and restored narnia to it's rightful owner, Aslan.

I watched Alanis perform this song tonight during the closing ceremonies for the Vancouver Olympics. She was fantastic, looked absolutely stunning, and sang beautifully. I'd never heard this song before, but it is wonder-ful !
