BART Strike & Oscar Grant: strike hampered by police racism

How about the African American community apologize to the police for a change? If I had a dime a for every time I went onto BART and witnessed problems created by African Americans I would be a millionaire. While what I wrote is true, I'm only saying this to point out how ridiculous it is to request an apology from an entire group be it the police or African Americans. The vast majority of both groups are fine. It is simply too bad that a few bad apples must ruin it for everyone else.

First of all I want to say fuck ATU 1555 (the union). As a BART commuter myself for the last 10 years riding bart is always the most awful experience for me twice a day every damn working day. The delay, the full load train, the smell, the homeless sleeping on train, the fucked up AC, and much more... How the hell BART still got problem for doing that kind of job with 350,000 riders per day??? I spend a lovely $300 a month for the fair is that what I'm getting? And why the govnm don't do shit?

I agree with your conclusions. I came from a strong union family. However unions as a positive force have lost their popular public support long ago. As you pointed out they are making damn good money now and appear to be like greedy pigs in demanding even more when the rest of the State of California along with BART are facing serious cutbacks.
