I agree that this wasn't a horrible fight for AA. He didn't get whooped, he just had a bad strategy and Silva used his reach to his advantage and backed AA off him. AA has also had a tendency to be a slow starter and sometimes gives fighters too much respect and feels his opponents out for too long. Sort of the way Pedro Rizzo tends to do. He needs to either go after a guy or alter his strategy to wearing his opponent out. He's a respectable grappler, he just seems shy away from it too often.

He should realize that completly boxing style isn't going to work in mma.

Thats why he lost brett fight,standing in front fighter like in box match isn't going to work...

In this sport you have to be preparde for everyone ,and to do everything....

Bigfoot was TKO'd against a 300lbs samoan in Eric Pele who has KO power. I thought Arlovski did a good job against Bigfoot by not getting knockout with shots to his face. AA will do good next time, he has ring rust 11 months since the Rodgers fiasco.

Fedor is by far my favourite fighter.. where do you see fedors advantage in Fedor vs Overeem fight, I mean Overeem is K! level kick-boxer, strong as heck, bigger, and he is not bad on the ground, what should Fedor exploit, takedown and submission? KO-I doubt that? Aggressive/defensive??

I was impressed with Silvas striking he really took it to Arlovski who outboxed a top tier boxer recently. Arlovski seems to have lost his explosive touch which he did have in the UFC. Silva was the bigger fighter and he used his weight advantage to bully Arlovski around at times although Arlovski did have good revesals. Silvas reach also give him a advantage when countering Arlovski. Arlovski has a huge fan base so i think i will keep fighting.

sure arlovski lost 3 times but look at the compitition were talking world class oponents he needs a step down in compitition for a couple of fights i would like to see Shane Delrosario get a chance against arlovski if he wins on the 16 or maybee lashley fight arlovski and if arlovski cant beat these guys he no longer belongs in big promotions

arlovski vs rogers rematch since arlovski wants that fight and he took it on 2 weeks notice thinking it wouldn't be a big deal since rogers was new on the block and was just wanting extra money prior to his pro boxing fight. Then antonio silva can fight lashley after he fights ron sparks. Or antonio can be waiting in the wings to fight the winner of fedor vs overeem. Or they can quickly do antonio vs overeem then fedor can fight lashley then they can meet up, but these seem like easy matchups.

Arlovski will just have to keep trying, paying as much as it takes for his mistakes. He can't afford to give up, what else is there for him? I hope he finds his own effective style.

@crovax17 Oh yeah, they call it the "Fedor Curse" because many a fighter is never the same after fighting Fedor. They sorta go into an early decline... Sorta makes me wonder if Rogers loss to Fedor had anything to do with his performance against Overeem.

@slasher445 don't know if fedor can take Overeem anymore.. lets not be biased now, Fedor hasn't fought top 5 (or even top 10) recently at all, Overeems beat Badr Hari K1 rules, amazing.. hes legit trust me

@Devon187 Fedor vs Overeem is quite an interesting Matchup, Fedor Defeated Arlovski who around Late 2008 early 2009 was in the top Ten Ko him in the first round but really since 2005 Fedor hasn't fought Legitamte opponents and if you go back to 2007 through 2008 if they Aquired Fedor then he would of fought Frank Mir who was a top contender in the Divison, But all in All Fedor via submission round 2.

This fight went to show how quickly the depth of the MMA heavies is growing. A.A. is still a beast but nowadays is having trouble saying relevant. I hope you do an Overeem/Rogers review~
