@tlast2O12dude Actually, Savickas might've been able to do so but he didn't need to do more than 3 to win this event. He chose to stop at 3 and save his energy for later.

Yeah, I remember reading something about that. Something about neanderthal women having 90% percent of the muscle mass Arnold had in his peak. Well Savickas has WAY more muscle mass than arnold in his peak ;).

He needs the extra weight. Look at Mariusz. He is too small for the events with very heavy weights. Mariusz cannot win events like the Arnold Classic, which focuses on extreme weight.

Yes, but he was out of shape. He was still winning comps but was struggling a bit. During the 2008/9 winter, he did lots of cardio, and came back leaner, with more upper body muscle mass, still 385 pounds, as AdventureSwede mentionned, feeling very good on his feet, and won Fortissimus...and every other comp....

I'm not insulting big Z. Everyone knows he excels at the arnold and ifsa because those are heavy competitions. Marius is better at WSM because he more athletic and those events are more about reps and speed. marius can't beat Z in max lift attempts though. its a fact bro. Z is close to 400 lbs so his static strength is ridiculous but its harder to move at that weight. I'm not a groupie by the way. I have added 60 lbs of muscle to my frame and can close the COC #3.

ok point taken, you are a very polite and humble person. I apologize if i sounded too mean. It's just that i am tired of hearing Mariusz this and Mariusz that in the U.S. when me a strongman competitor talk to other great national level strongman, and they all seem to give the nod more so to Zydrunas. Its because WSM is covered more here than IFSA that people are automatically more biased towards Mariusz when he really couldn't hang with these guys, which is why he avoids these comps.

Its cool bro. I wish strongman comps of all types were covered more. I have seen IFSA and I think the format and events are great. Strongman is definately becoming more mainsteam and hopefully it continues that way. I began watching them when I was really young.
