  • In the time he took explaning why he wasnt going to write out the given he could have been done with it already

  • does it matter the order you write the statements ?

  • I PAY LIKE 15,000 DOLLARS FOR SHITTY TEACHER... WHEN THERE IS THIS FOR FREE ON YOUTUBE??! GOD BLESS YOUTUBE!

  • You sir remind me some how of Harrison Ford.

    great vid!

  • HOLY SANTA CLAUS SHIT I FINALLY GET IT

  • why is it that i learn more in a 10 minute video than i do in four days of geometry class

  • i mean my dumbass teacher

  • took my dumbass like 3 days of class to teach us this, thank you posting

  • I honestly can't believe how much more I learned from here than from my real teacher.

  • Man i wish u were my teacher!

  • man, if i dont pass my geometry test i swear im just gonna drop out of school im getting tired of faggots who just cheat and copy and pass the test i bet all this studying wont even help me pass

  • confused strating at 4:48 :(

  • thanks man your so much better than my geometry teacher half the time i dont know what she is saying because she is always eating

  • Thank you! I believe I get it now. Hope I do well on my semester exam! Thanks again :)

  • I've seen a lot of videos explaining these postulates and they didn't make as much sense as you did! Thank you so much, now I actually fully understand it! =D

  • I wish you were my math teacher damn you explain things way easier

  • Thank you so much! Proofs never made sense until now. I'm glad that I know what I'm doing now when I need to write a proof.

  • What about HL which stands for Hypotenuse leg. If the two triangle are right triangles and your answer is ssa or Ass the triangle are congruent by HL.

  • how do you know the "order"? like the one you did that was side angle side... how do you know its not ssa or ass? what exactly is the correct way to tell the "order"?

  • Hey so what would a right angle fit under?? SAS SSS ASA AAS?

  • @FireHawk1251 A right angle is just an angle like the rest when it comes to SAS, ASA, and AAS. Obviously, SSS only applies when there are 3 pairs of congruent sides, no angles needed. Remember that all right angles are congruent...which gives you one angle congruent statement for your proof. You need 3 congruency statements (SSS, SAS, ASA, or AAS) before you can prove triangles congruent.

  • Wow. Thanks for making my life easier.

  • OMG! I FUCKING LOVE YOU

  • Is there a Angle Side Side, ASS ?!

  • @FireDraggon544 SSA only works when the angle that is congruent is known to be greater than or equal to 90 degrees. Since it doesn't apply to all triangles, it doesn't make the cut! Also, it's called "Hypotenuse-Leg", or HL, when it's used to prove right triangles congruent.

  • @FireDraggon544 no infact my teacher reffers to that as the but rule

  • @FireDraggon544 Angle Side Side makes you an ass, thats why my ass teacher told me when i said angle side side, what an ass.

  • @FireDraggon544 no it wouldnt work thts what i asked today in my class

  • @FireDraggon544 i asked my teacher that

  • i just realize that yo u can also say ASA. but saying the vertical angles are congruent.

  • Why a zebra?

  • U know what book your using ;] im using the same one.. THANK GODDDD

  • i understanded the matirial on the day before the exam....wow -_-

  • Thank you so much! I'm going to do amazing on my Geometry test! :D

  • thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much... T_T

  • this was sooo helpful....thank u:")

  • so basically they go in order

  • turn on the captions, they're so funny!!!

  • ASS lol

  • 6:39

  • @darthcele13 Like many things in math, there is often a standard form so everyone writes the same thing. In this case, AAS is considered standard, so SAA is unnecessary & not used (though you could easily argue that it's technically correct).

  • OMG. THANK YOU. i finally understand, ready for my test 2m :)

  • Remember there are no "ASS'es" in math.

  • this video sux geometry sux

  • my geometry teacher sucks. you should be our teacher. maybe id get into college then.

  • I didn't realize just how bad my geometry teacher sucks until I watched this . Thank you.

  • Omg omg thank you thank you thank you so much! I learned more in 1 minute of this video than 5 days with my geometry teacher! You are definitely my life saver!

  • @VictoriaS131 i agree

  • Thanks Ass. That helped alot

  • Why now we call it SAA ..wahat is right SAA or AAS

  • THANK YOU! So great! It made it clearer!

  • so great! Thanks! relieved my stress a little. Question, there's more than one way to prove this, right? Is the goal just for the problem to be proved but not in a specific way?

  • Thank u soo much I never got proofs until u explained it to me.

  • thanks man!

  • omg, thank you so much!!

  • Wow!! Awesome video!! I'm taking an online Geometry class. I so wish we had video instruction like this. Your videos are helping me tremendously!! Thank you!

  • what about HL?

  • There should be an ASS!!!

  • @kashivranik Thx man i should make that comment in class

  • @100xines lmfaoo . I was thinking that too, but idont think so, and im glad :D haha.

  • thank you so much! you're such a life savior! i had so much trouble being able to write proofs but with this video, I don't think I will no longer have trouble =)

  • Geometry can kiss my Angle Side-Side

  • Thank you! My teacher couldn't teach if his life depended on it.

  • Thanks allot i been stuck for years.. Because i failed :(

  • Man!! is there a AAS Congruence Criterion ???????? It kinda sounds Bad word to me !!!!

  • @lavenderpriyanka Don't you mean SSA...in reverse? Unfortunately, SSA doesn't always work, so it's not one of the theorems, but it would be funny if it was! The only time it works consistently is in the case of a right triangle, so they call it the "Hypotenuse Leg" theorem, or HL for short.

  • How would you know which theorem to use though? Since in the first four triangles you showed that all sides were congruent, so their angles must be congruent as well.

  • @Sinadins When you go to prove the triangles congruent initially, you may only use known information to prove them congruent. You cannot say, "Since I know this is congruent, I can use any sides/angles I want". In the first 4 examples, the information provided was not always that the 3 sides were congruent -- only 1 example was like that. The other examples used at least one angle, so I used the theorem that fit best for each one.

  • OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • like at 6:59, how do u know its not in the middle? like do u go clockwise or something? this helped a lot

  • @rcminit109 You can go counterclockwise or clockwise, either way will let you know whether the side is between the angles (ASA) or not (AAS).

  • we are doing this in maths for some reason :-l

  • you rock dude.

  • is it possible that you could prove two triangles not congruent in a proof?? thanks.

  • @skynard102 Yes, but it's not always as easy as proving that triangles are congruent. First, if you can prove that ANY corresponding parts of two triangles are not congruent, then the two triangles are not congruent (it's like the opposite of CPCTC). However, this doesn't actually mean that these triangles aren't congruent in some other way. For example, you could prove triangle ABC was not congruent to triangle DEF, but this doesn't guarantee that triangle ABC is not congruent to triangle EDF.

  • sooooo much easier now thanks man!!!

  • OMG

    thanks so much ;D

but one question, aren't there vertical angles?

  • @toastylex1 Yes, vertical angles can help you prove that two triangles are congruent. In the proof, there are a pair of vertical angles. However, we only need two angles & one side to prove the triangles congruent. I decided to focus on the parallel lines, which gave me two congruent angles, and so I didn't need the vertical angles...but I could have used them if I wanted too.

  • ok so i'm a very strong student in math & i manage to keep my grade at 98% but when I hit the geometry unit i just drop, but for the first time i understand thank you sooooo much your like a lifesaver that works in 10:15

  • I understand what you say, but there's a point where I start to wonder 'what's in the fridge?'. I wish we had pause buttons at school.

  • thankss! you made this so much more clearer than my teacher:)

  • Dang, you're a great teacher, thanks!

  • Omg!!!! This helped a ton, saved my life from failing a test :o, you're the best! :)

  • thank you you saved me from failing a quiz. keep doing the video, your the best at doing it

  • Saved me from bombing my finals!

  • thanks man i was havin trouble with this. my teacher said this is probably the hardest thing wed learn in geo this year lol

  • thnx big time u make so much easier and simplier we have 2 do so much activities and stuff just 2 understand it a little but u make it easy by just a vide0 :)

  • thnx big time u make so much easier and simplier we have 2 do so much activities and stuff just 2 understand it a little but u make it easy by just a video :)

  • aw mann..yur the greatest!..thank you so much

  • thanks alot man !!!!!!!you teach better then my geometry teacher

  • Omg thank you sooo sooo sooo much I have a test over this tomorrow and now I finally get how to prove the congruency of triangles thanks a bunch!!!!! =D

  • oh thanks soo much:)

  • Thanks a ton my teacher cant teach at all maybe we should just watch these instead and have her sit in the corner and grade all of the A+ papers. definitely subscribing. (click)

  • thank you so much

  • thank you so much you made so easier than my teacher :) and clearer

  • THANKS, YOU HELPED ME GET READY FOR MY TEST BY WATCHING YOUR TEACHER VIDEOS.

  • Amazing video, I have a test on this tomorrow, thanks for the help.

  • Thank you man... I have a presentation on Tuesday and you helped me a lot with my math presentation!

  • thanks..a simplified version

  • Thank you so much I've understand the lesson well

  • you look kind of nervous but on the other hand thank you a lot this helped me:)

  • thanks!!

  • thank you so much you have no idea how much this has helped me - i was absent the day my teacher taught this and its kinda hard to learn it when its "one on one" for me

  • great video. !

  • GREAT!!! i wish u were my teacher

  • i use the A.C.E curriculum and my teachers SUCK!!!!!!! i really wish u were my teacher...if ur in florida...plz be my tutor

  • ahaha i remmember i had a test on the chapter these were on and i was so nervous cuz i didnt understand these but then the teacher didnt put these types of problems on the test -.- but its always good to review, 5/5

  • thx this helped my alittle bit but i need more larger problems with more statements to prove....anybody can help me

  • You are a so much better teacher than what I have

  • why cant all teachers go into this much detail, this is so much easier, all of my previos math teachers sucked, but this dude is really good!

  • i know how to do that one but sometime the triangle have like 2 sides and thats it and i have tell if its sss, aas, asa, or sas.

  • thank i have a test tommorow and u helped rite now my teacher is a fast talker and i dont get wat he is saying thnx

  • omgosh! u dont know how much you've helped me! i totally understand now! THANKS!!!!

  • thank u!

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you so much, it helped, a lot!

  • OH MY GOD!!!! I finally understand this freaking chapter....THHHHHAAAANNNNK UUUUU

  • keep these videos up your a good teacher... my teacher doesn't take the time that you do to fully make the student understand the information. thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks alot!

  • Thank you so much!

I have my mid terms tomorrow and this was the thing I just didn't understand. Much easier now.
