  • wtf? why did the come on after shutting the rear?

  • Beautiful car. I don't like how the engine is in the rear, but that's what Porsche does. Obviously it works well. :)

  • I love jay leno's car reviews!!!!!!

  • ""I remember the turbo in `76 had 240 horsepower".It had 260..... Ur government wants 2 kill the fun 4 all u Porschefans;-) a 86 carrera has 231 here and 207 when it reached the U.S.Has he bought himself a gen.2 997 GT2 RS yet? Or tested one on this show?612 bhp.Sixhundredandtwelve funs:D

  • ""I remember the turbo in `76 had 240 horsepower".It had 260..... Ur government wants 2 kill the fun 4 all u Porschefans;-) a 86 carrera has 231 here and 207 when it reached the U.S

  • I like Jay Leno's car "show" and really don't like the American Top Gear.

  • you can sure tell they dont put any money in the interior.. it looks so plain and shitty

  • Leno is amazing. I love how he actually drives his cars, doesn't sit them in a garage like all the politicians/royalty often do. It is awesome how he helps to share his passion and help everyone learn about these insane vehicles!

  • Looks like the bonnet shrunk in the wash!

  • RUF put a v8 in a 911 and produce it, it's sick

  • This car is the absolute nuts! Looks awesome in real life.

  • john deer lmao haha thats funny im sorry i love this car but not the colors they have better colors rims are nice though!

  • suede leather no, its called alcantara invented by a japanese engineer and yes its flame proof, retards the fire enough to get to safety and use fire ex alcantara will not ignite try it with a lighter nothing happens, pretty amazing, porsche thought of everything

  • wtf u cant drive this to work stupid it has no air its not fun in traffic its not a car u wanna drive if ur gonna get a super porsche to drive u get a turbo

  • jay leno boooooooo lolo

  • This car stickered for close to 140 grand in 2008 not 105,000!

  • @SpecialBoyNY the 2nd generation is

  • Hahah i LOVE running over cups and cans!

  • Looks like a John Deer.

  • I have finally found my future car, im not kidding 105 000 isnt that for the performance.

  • It's POOR-SHUH, not PORSH!!!

  • There's nothing better than a N/A high reving engine, like this porsche, the LF-A, S2000 and the list gone...i'm not fan of porsches but the only that i like it's this.

  • @pansho550F Ferrari 355 *¬*

  • @pansho550F come on, lamborghini!!! Biggest one high revving N/A 10 and 12 cylinders

  • @nabslp670 Off course! for thar reason a put "and the list gone" i love the speech of the murcielago :)or the roar of the V10 gallardo

  • jay is just too cool

  • How come that these guys are able to sound so uninterested?

Where does Porsche find these guys? Is he even remotely interested in his job?

  • oh i love this car

  • ya if my car company was based around one model and one shape of car and one idea i'd prolly develop a good one after a while too.

  • Jay still owns 150 vehicles!

  • is this his or is he just driving it?

  • theyre all his

  • they're not all his, many cars he shows are just showcased

  • no you suck more...lol...typical comment from a teenage youtube poster

  • k no porsches do not suck, the gt3 will beat an m5 anyday, trust me i know i have driven the 2009 m5, it is a fast car but the gt3 will definitely win, the only porsche an m5 will beat is a cayman, boxter and carrera s

  • @braviaevan that just explains people, who likes porsches... :x

  • lmao

  • enjoy the ride

  • best Porsche ever

  • ummm..... CARRERA GT!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @FISHURMOMBALL

    no.

    fastest doesnt make it great

  • @Crazy4mazdaspeed lol true

  • This engine is the best engine ever!!!!

    IT'S THE DEVIL !!!!!!!

  • like how van halen would say

leno is "running with the devil"

  • 2:34 nearly blew out my speakers!!!

  • OH MY GOD HE HAS A MIURA YESSSSSSS

  • waste of money....lol good luck finding something better for that money

  • umm not im not arrogant and im not rich...im just saying the GT3 is the best car for the money...while youre saying its a waste...dont understand your logic

  • @8MunchenBayern8 I think the ZR1 is the best bang for your buck

  • @rosettastone4you The viper ACR costs less than the ZR1 and is faster.

  • @frambesbuckeye i refuse to accept ACR is faster. I cannot allow that kind of heresy to enter this house nor shall my children's children hear of this discussion

  • @rosettastone4you Well that's too bad because it is.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 you can get cars that are nearly as fast for much cheaper...

    but they still rock!

  • @mageac mmm....maybe in a straight line...but if you want the whole experience of pedigree, quality, safety, handling, and engine sound...i dont think so :)

  • @8MunchenBayern8 all cars are safe, they have to all pass tests, and a rear engine car is far from safe for someone who is not used to it, lots of cars are of high quality these days, engine sound is up to the individual, and pedigree is just a name

  • @mageac and you are just a moron. your argument makes no sense whatsoever... 'all cars are safe' so you'd rather be in a crash in a GT3 or a kia sportage? and no one that doesnt know how to drive these cars will buy these...if they just wana show off theyll buy a bentley coupe or something...pedigree is just a name? well theres a reason why certain brands are praised and others are not.....history of either making good or bad products.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 get in an accident with say... a volvo then :P

personally i don't rate cars as better because they won races 50 years ago... if its good now that's all that matters now... all the big name performance cars are over priced, ferrari, porshe, lamborghini ...etc...

id take a nissan gtr over a gt3... save 40 grand, and go just as quick with room for friends...

hell im not even a nissan fan....but you don't have to pay for the "heritage"

  • @mageac yeah but id rather not have to pay for the turbos blowing out...or nissan revoking your warranty for using the launch control (shows how much confidence they have in their product) ....and Porsche hasnt won a race in 50 years? i didnt know that -__- ... oh and i dont like cars that sound like vacuum cleaners (gtr)

  • @8MunchenBayern8 launch controll is covered now, the fast porshes are turbo as well, they have never had a turbo issue yet... and obviously porshe has won more then that... but who cars in a car made in the street how many races is won...

but then again if you want to pay 40 grand more, get worse milegage, service, insurance, handling, acceleration, top speed, and 2 less seats you can go right a head...

personally id buy a zr1, get 640 hp, and do over 1g cornering for 20 grand less...

  • @mageac lol yeah, but a zr1 so it fails? lol we got a 2005 cadillac cts-v , transmission faiilure at 30k miles...never buying american again

  • @8MunchenBayern8

... i had a porshe 944... which was slow and the most unreliable pos ever made... guess that means all porshes suck as well...

    logical...

  • @mageac no...but it is widely known that american cars suck donkey balls.....hence why Japanese and German cars dominate.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 that must be why the best selling car in europe is a ford then?

and opel, which is owned by gm is #3 in germany...

  • @mageac Ford EU is different to Ford USA, different design teams and different specification. That is why there are very few European ford cars in America. And virtually no US fords sold in the Europe, don't mix them up.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 Best car for the money is probably GTR, or ZR1.

  • @dreampilot2 maybe the gtr.... Zr1 = plastic and transmission will fail within 50K miles.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 Actually the ZR1 is the opposite of plastic, it's reinforced polimer and aluminum. The rest is carbon fiber. Also the transmission won't fail with 50k miles.

  • @dreampilot2 corvettes are plastic.. and tranny will fail..im never buying an american car again...go touch one of the panels on a corvette...itll bend in so far...american cars are garbage

  • @8MunchenBayern8 Your talking about the back plate? it's actually reinforced aluminum to keep the weight down, don't get your facts from Top Gear kid I doubt you've ever even seen a corvette in action my cousin has a beautiful Z06 he can win an SLR in a race on a track and in a straight line (American engineering) stock. NASA.

  • @dreampilot2 i dont care how fast it can go...when the interior looks like a 2001 chevy malibu and the panels are PLASTIC...YES PLASTIC..you get YOUR facts straight...go touch one...THEY BEND LIKE THEYRE MADE FROM TIN FOIL....youre NOT going to change my opinion...if they were so good...they would need bail outs from the government because their products are so inferior

  • @8MunchenBayern8 They bend? wtf are you talking about haha, the interior does look crapy but it works and yes the dashboard is plastic but then again so is the R8's get your facts right dumb European.

  • @dreampilot2 R8 bens? lol...'dumb European'....oxymoron much?

  • @8MunchenBayern8 What do you mean bends? nothing bends on the vette except for the back plate which is because the material is derived from airplane foil.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 Have you ever even driven a corvette before? Like dreampilot said, don't get your facts from top gear. Corvettes are amazing pieces of engineering and most likely 10x better then what ever you drive.

  • @jgrig123 lol im sure its 10x better than my e46 m3 hahahaa...go fuck off...American cars sucks.....no one buys them, people dont like their cars depreciating by half just by driving them off the lot lmfao

  • @8MunchenBayern8 not all american cars suck and if you refer to topgear for your information jeremy clarkson said that he loved the ford GT

  • @slobodaneee

Yeah, because almost everything on the car was european.

  • @slobodaneee

He loved it until it broke down on him, and he sold it. He rapidly changed his mind.

Clarkson is pretty subjective in his opinion of cars.

  • @8MunchenBayern8 The Ford GT sucks, right? The GT40 did, along with the Escort and the Focus also, right? You suck!

  • @nkmcfrln Wernt the Escort and the Focus developed and built in England for the European market? Wouldnt really call them American.

  • @AyeItsMike So Fords aren't Fords if they are built outside the U.S. for foreign markets. The GT40 was built in England and designed by a designer that previously worked for Lotus. The recent Lambo models were designed by an Italian and the previous by a Belgian. Ford is an American manufacturer that builds models for different markets around the world. They're all Fords and they all look like Fords regardless. "Wouldn't really call them American." They're frickin' Fords!

  • @nkmcfrln Didnt say they wernt Fords did I? I simply stated that if a car is built, designed, and sold in the UK then it is classed as a British car. An example of this is the new Nissan Micra, its sent over to Blighty in a crate from Japan, assembled over here and it is classed as a British car. Also Ford has several different sections under its banner, Ford UK is a very real corporation that builds cars that will never see the light of day in the states. MK1 Escorts, are they American?

  • Comment removed

  • @AyeItsMike "DIdn't say they were Fords did I." Your skull is thick and you imagine that you simply state things that you didn't! They sell the Fiesta here, the Focus and they did sell the Escort but not nearly for as long as it was available outside North America. In England and Germany they manufacture performance RS models that they've never offered here. Are the American built Fiesta's and Focus's British or German? Don't answer, just fuck off!

  • @nkmcfrln Not easy to accept defeat is it young keyboard warrior... And we all grew up with RS1600 rally cars, Get a life and stop lying.

  • @AyeItsMike You stupid fucking cunt! I know about Escorts and rally because my mothers side of the family is from Jamaica. I was born in Toronto. When I was 1 month, I was on a plane with my mother to Jamaica. Until I was 5, I was back and forth living in Toronto and Jamaica. Growing up I would travel there on vacations and stay with my cousins. On one summer vacation I went with my cousin and my uncle to a rally race in a stadium in Kingston.

  • @AyeItsMike My little cousin and I loved a red Mini Clubman and an yellow and white RS1600 sponsored by The Jamaica Gleaner the most. It was covered with Gleaner livery and featured Marmaduke on both sides. The next day the Marmaduke Escort was parked in front of my cousins residence. My uncle made friends with the driver. My cousin and I didn't know anything about this, so it was a total surprise. My uncle took the passenger seat of course and my cousin and jumped in the back.

  • @AyeItsMike We stood up holding on to the roll cage the for the entire ride. Jamaica is a third world country i.e. you drive as fast and do whatever you want on the fucking roads. We travelled at full speed to Port Antonio and back in an incredibly short period of time. The funniest part and what stands out the most is when the driver did a u-turn through a sugar cane field. Everything that you have to say is up your ass! My uncle gave me a Castrol book on rally cars.

  • @nkmcfrln I was always going through this book when I returned home. I've loved rally since then and I've always been familiar with the automobiles that you find on the roads in the U.K. and the manufacturers. You fucking piece of shit! You don't even process what I've told you already. My cousins family car when I was a kid was an Escort. My uncle and my aunt would rally the Escort. I think it was a "Mexico." I think the RS had a Mexico body. I'm telling you a second time to fuck off!

  • @nkmcfrln Cool story bro.

  • @Kuriousgorge87 in-line? or do you mean flat 6?

  • @GodlikeNL sry i meant Flat 6 but in line engines are great too

  • I know main

  • And you just wasted a little more than 30 characters moron.

  • Pointless options on this one make it a waste. No roll cage, and the addition of AC and sat nav means you could have saved £20k / $35k and got the normal GT3 (non RS).

  • this car would ridiculous on the street, who goes to office in that ? Its should only be for the track, but Oops, no more roll cage and AC and Nav, so its unnecessarily heavy so its not really strippped for the track.....

Think of it as you going to the office with a dress trouser but a t-shirt on it, and tie on the t-shirt, sports shoes and a ridiculous head band saying RS on it.....sure you can argue you can goto the office & str8 to the track or gym ....

  • I go to school in my GT3. It's a 996 and I daily drive it =P

  • This seems more like a normal GT3 with mentions of "ride, comfort" etc. Did they perhaps get the roll-cage taken out and specced it up a bit on options with maybe a slightly more compliant suspension? Air con certainly wasen't standard I wouldn't of thought.

  • they had to remove the roll cage in the us to make it street legal

  • and the seats are different. There's a package here in the US called clubsport. It adds the rear cage and two seats

  • Wheres the roll cage??? Those were my fave things in that car.

  • thats true did they take it out or something, i thought it came standard. gt3 RS best porsche ever.

  • Lol the fan came on when he closed the hood.

  • of course he can, he is Jay Leno!

  • I bet they would look good in your civic !

  • thanks! i am happy whit mine :) i got e36m3 euro sepc. whoos got on off the best seats out thear :)) but if i order a 997 gt3 rs, i thake clubsport seats :)

  • fair do's mate, just kidding !!
