  • is this car for sale?

    aziz.sinno@gmail.com

  • Sounds like a drunk chick driver in a foot of snow lol. Beautiful car man!

  • SEXY! :O

  • that's a real porsche !!! late 80" look so much better than the new ones

  • You are so right!!! i love the old skool Porsche!!

  • sounds good check mine out by searching "dawes motorsports built 1987 911 turbo"

  • Gorgeous 911.

And I spy a 944 S2 or Turbo in the background!

  • Poor ol' 944 sitting over to the right...=(

  • This absolutely the best looking era of 911. The late 80'.

  • Lovely car, my dad has it withought the whale tail on it. Beautiful sound!

  • I have always heard these 930's were a real hand full? what do you think?

  • tricky to handle due to the rear engine/rear wheel drive layout

  • They're tricky in the turns, you enter a turn you hope the engines torque will bring the car back around and keep it from going off the track or hitting something.

  • @Bag0fRats just add a differential.

  • I like Italian cars like alfas and ferraris but if you wanna live with it,

get a 930 like yours and then youll have peace of mind and you can go anywhere in it and it;ll start and run flawless,

Porsch's are practical Ferraris are fantasy,

  • Really?

The 930 Turbo isn't exactly a trouble free car. My best friend drives one, and he actually uses a checklist before he takes it out.

    He's had a 1975 Dino(ferrari) 308 GT4 as well, which was pretty much trouble free(Though that's not normal either).

This car is not what you buy when you want a flawless car.

Nevertheless, I think it's pretty much the best and coolest porsche ever made. You feel like you're taming a beast.. The huge turbo lag gives it even more character

  • kaity; that's true about the Turbo lag, thats why the earlier models had 4 speeds, to keep it closer to the power point when the turbo kicks in. But, when the turbo is on, it is ON !

  • They actually used a 4-speed box because they were stronger at the time ;)

  • @kaityushi A checklist? I have owned 5. On my fifth one now. Its not an airplane. I can assure you he does not need a checklist to run his car - unless he has not taken care of it and it has MANY maintanance problems. Very reliable cars. Drive them across the Country if you want.

  • Easily one of the best car designs ever.

  • @TheVietCong8 its actually not a gd design at all. but its been made into a gd design over 40 plus years of revisions

  • I just picked up a 88 Targa Turbo. Black on black, 47k miles. I still can't beleive it. The car is FAST and handles very well although there seems to be a little bit of flex on fast turns. None the less the car is sick! It is a welcome addition to my 97 Turbo, 79 Turbo, and 02 Turbo. AS WELL AS A 08 M5 and a 99 360 modena. All the cars have unique qualities and all are awesome in their own way. ....

  • get a strut tower brace, that will help with the flex.

a nice set of coilovers also makes a huuuuge difference.

on my dads ride, you could jack up the right rear and both tires would come off the ground and vice versa after some minor bracing was installed.

the 930s are classic and have a completely different feel to them. the new porsche's/ferraris/bimmers are still awesome, but they lack that really raw visceral feel the older ones had.

  • @sargev55 good luck on the coil over conversion

  • @maaximus5 dude thast weak, in my garage ive got a lamborghini, a 7 ferraris, 5 porsches, 2 rolls royce, a bugatti, 2 helicoptors, and 4 army hummers, ur car collection is weak mann compared to mine....

  • @maaximus5 What no 356? Tch tch.... :)

  • @maaximus5

Have you ever considered letting your 360 go for a 355 GTS?

I mean if you like the 360 it's ok,

I ike the 355 but thats just me i like dinos too, but they are a waste of money rust out and impossible to work on,

theres this guy oon here that let a gold miura go and got something else,

but he didnt tell me yet?

the 89 turbo is the sweet one though.

    WUNDEBAR!!!!!!!

  • @maaximus5 i have 487 lamborghinis in my garage man... stop trying to compete... im so rich i have time to comment on youtube

  • This is the US version. You can tell by those rubber bumper guards at the rear.. Men those this are ugly!

  • Is this 11x18" rims?

  • yes, tire size was 295mm width.

    rims are RH Alurad.

  • Beautiful beautiful car.... but why is he holdin the revs like that? Isn't that bad on the car to leave it up high with no load?

  • i asked my dad to blip the throttle, but he misunderstood and thought that i wanted him to hold it.

  • Dad got a little thrill. The 3.3L Turbo can make you do stupid things, ( I've been there '88 owner) Beautiful car you have there, mine's black too, I love your wheels.

  • Looks like a widebody one i saw at a local dealership. 800whp. Twas a beast. :D Did you buy it from Tualatin, OR? Grand Prix Imports?

  • no,

my dad picked this up in like 1997 or so after he bent the valves in his grey market euro BMW M6. it was purchased from Ron Shue Imports of charlotte NC, and was recently sold back to Ron Shue, in a sort of trade deal for a supercharged Cl55 AMG. its still in charlotte, NC, i believe, and it will always be a bad ass car. i'm glad i took this video when i did.

  • 964 is late 88 and up cars and those are narrow bodys the 965 is the turbo body style and it doesnt have the bumperettes in the back yes the rear spoiler is the same as is the motor and most of the car until its last year being with the revised 3.6 turbo and the aero mirrors, unless you own a porsche dont speak

  • oh damn, looks like we have some e gangstas here.

this is a 930, if you know your porsches you would be able to tell this is a 930 immediately.

the 964 is stubbier, has a higher front, and is not as sleek.

and seriously, i know the vin, we have the 'birth certificate,' and guess what, its a 930

  • right on the money, besides the fact a 964 was a direct replacement of the 911 by putting the bulky front bumpers on it ,but that is a 930 ,you do know youre porsches , f*n morons and their stupid information

  • I hate to piss on your B.B.Que. Porsche did designate this '89 model a "930" but they only produced it for 1/2 a year. They tried to "domesticate" the brute 930 by giving it the 5 speed tranny of the 3.2 Carerra. It didn't work. Porsche aborted the Idea, and dropped the 930 designation from the "New" model. '88 was the last, true, 4 speed 930 made.

  • like a spin-dryer

  • go back 2 grammer lol yep ok den your a faggot ask ma mum she noes i dont need 2 go back 2 grammer "!!!" pussy

  • uh seriously,

    this is a 1989 930, with a getrag 5psd.

the wheels are HRE, cant remember the model though. the porsche birth certificate says this car was produced by special order 6 months after production officially ended, making it one of the last 930's ever produced, kinda cool :)

  • WTF, That's not a 964 you fucker By the way 930 is the turbo from '79 till '89

  • close, 930 is the turbo from '74 to '89. but you are much more correct than deeanj who is a complete tool and doesn't know shit. also has no clue how to type i can barely read what he put down!

  • Nice work detective-stupid; just brilliant. Negative, that is not a 964.

  • Sure, that's what i said! 964 is just the bodynumber for the 911 starting '89... with the smooth bumpers and rockers.

  • one day gotta get one of these, old skool classic!!

  • Just wondering what rims are those on the car? Car looks and sounds very nice :)

  • They look like Speedlines, model 2310.

  • They look like Speedlines, model 2310.

  • What's with the whine?

  • the engines from all 911's up to the 996 are aircooled, so the whining you can hear has to come from the cooling-fan

  • what wheels are those? they look great and your car sounds awesome

  • Please let me know if youre ever selling this car... :)

  • Best generation ever.

  • I'd recommend keeping it under 3500, for just peak revs. Load versus no Load is where the difference lies.

  • Nice video, although it makes me cringe. As a Porsche mechanic, revving your engine like that (with no load) will do very, very bad things to it. It's ok to rev, but only short bursts, not prolonged....it needs to have a load on it.

  • thats about 4500rpm.

  • Porsche mechanic? Can I ask you some questions some time? 1987 Carrera Cabrio... Thanks.

  • eh, the 930 was just the chassis designation of the 1st generation of porsche turbos. 930's were made i think 1973 to 1989. hehe, with that said, this particular car was finished 6 months after official production ended. its a 930s (factory special).

  • 930= turbo for drealm

Sargev what exhaust system is that?

  • billy boat tri-flow exhaust

  • beautifal car, i love that generation. it a turbo right?

  • yep.

    3.3l turbo.

this one is making a little over 300whp

  • that sounds beautiful,i have an 81 sc im prepping for a 3.3 andial conversion
